I bought these to go with a cowrie shell necklace I had. These were perfect. They are simply designed, light-weight and beautiful. Since I have no jewelry-related allergies, I cannot speak to whether the metal component is hypoallergenic - only that it is not genuine silver if that is what you are looking for. I like that the earrings are not so long in length that they ride my shoulders. They are approximately one and a half to two inches long. I was relieved that the hooks insert easily into my ear piercings. That was a plus because I have had frustrating experiences with sharp edges on the hooks of other cheaply-made earrings that left sores or scabs from scraping my skin upon insertion. Would definitely buy from this retailer again.
