This Stuff Works
TL;DR: Bag looks tiny but lasts a long time. Almost no taste—just makes water taste softer. No sweeteners. No calories. Just electrolytes that dissolve smoothly and work well. ---The Details--- I actually bought this as something to keep around just in case my husband or I got sick. Then came a week of intensive ballet training with masks to reduce the likelihood of COVID-19 transmission. While the human body cools itself primarily by sweating, not being able to breathe fresh, cool air makes that job harder. I'm someone who both sweats a lot and loses a ton of salt in my sweat (seriously: when my work clothes dry, they sport large, visible patches of white salt; animals think I'm a walking salt lick; and I can slowly dissolve steel bikes just by sweating on them). In a mask, I sweat even more, which honestly I didn't even think was possible. I was also coming off of 10 weeks on a highly-reduced training schedule—down from a minimum 30 hrs/wk dancing, I've been averaging about 10 hrs/week at something short of the usual intensity due to space restrictions. Needless to say, although I usually take proactive measures so I won't become electrolyte-depleted, by the end of Day 1 of summer intensive, my legs were cramping in that special way that says, "Get some electrolytes, bozo," and I was experiencing the nausea, burgeoning headache, and brain fog that indicate the early stages of hyponatremia (which I've had before: 0/10, do not recommend o.O). I don't do sugary drinks except on very rare occasions (seriously—like I might have one or two per year, usually when I've forgotten to eat and my blood sugar has well and truly tanked to the point that I can't function), so I bought two 32-oz Gatorade Zeros on the way home. Then I remembered that I had this stuff waiting in the wings. That evening I mixed some up—one batch plain, one batch with some cherry-flavored store-brand Crystal Lite knockoff just in case the plain stuff turned out to be undrinkable. I drank the cherry batch that night and discovered that it slightly alters the flavor—I use that cherry-esque mix because it's got a bit of tartness instead of just unadulterated sweetness, which is usually too much for me. Hydrolyte seemed to cancel out that tartness (some True Lime powder restored it pretty reasonably). I brought the plain Hydrolyte-water batch and the second Gatorade Zero (again, just in case) with me the next day. And though I approached the plain Hydrolyte-water blend with caution, by the end of the day I was wishing I'd skipped the Gatorade and just brought extra Hydrolyte. Y'all, I'm officially a believer. In short, Hydrolyte doesn't really add anything to the flavor of plain water. Our tap water is super hard, but delicious, and with Hydrolyte added it just winds up tasting like Ph-neutral bottled water. More importantly, Hydrolyte does its job really well. I came through the rest of the week without drifting into the territory of hyponatremia, even though we continued to work really hard and I continued to sweat buckets. And in case anyone has any delusions about ballet being a gentle art, please realize that study after study has found that male ballet dancers are among the fittest men on earth. This is because our job, every single day, effectively involves the equivalent of running a marathon or so while intermittently launching our own body weight as high into the air as possible and lifting other humans, also often as high as possible. The ladies work just as hard. Oh, and there's usually no off-season (2020 excepted). If this stuff can help me, a walking salt lick, get through my day of exercising in a way that probably indicates that I'm at least a little bit off my rockers while sweating like a cold glass of lemonade in July and working my butt off, it can probably help you in your own sweaty pursuits. Oh, and because it's not delivered in a sweet drink, I'll be able to drink this stuff even if I *am* borderline hyponatremic, at which point I usually find the idea of anything sweet (like most sports drinks) utterly revolting. When my ballet company goes back to work, Hydrolyte will be coming with me. I honestly didn't expect it to be this good—I figured that either I'd hate the flavor or out just wouldn't work well enough for my particular condition. I have never been happier to be completely and utterly wrong! Also: I paid full price for my Hydrolyte and was not in any way paid or reimbursed for this review. It's fully my own independent opinion. I'm just that impressed.

Fantastic Hydration Packet Option!!
I typically purchase other brands of hydration packets (some of which seem to cause me headaches) and decided to try these out! To start - I love that they don’t have a ton of additives. I’ve used these for a couple days in a row now, the main thing I’ve noticed is that I feel a bit more energetic and I haven’t had any headaches! The price of these is also great compared to similar products!!! I live in a dry climate and do a lot of hiking, so these will definitely become a staple for us! While the product was a 5/5 for me - the flavor was just okay (but to be fair, I tend to be quite picky with taste), it definitely has the “hydration drink” taste, but I didn’t mind that all!! And I do love that it isn’t overly sweetened like other brands tend to be!! Overall, I would definitely recommend trying these out!

I hate to admit it, because I generally believe that most supplements are derivatives of 'snake oil' but this did objectively and significantly improve my performance and endurance for my morning exercise. I am using a HIIT machine and, after I drop a measure of 'powder' into a glass of water and drink it 15-20 minutes before exercise, I tend to burn some 20% more calories and I feel significantly less exhausted when exercise is over. So it's good. My only issue is the inclusion of 'taurine' in the mix. I would have preferred just the minerals but, like I said, it's good and it contains zero sugars, caffeine, flavors or whatever other creepy stuff you normally get.

Hydrolyte Wildly Exceeded My Expectations!!
First off, let me say that I am a nutritional and natural health cognoscente as well as a professional jiu jitsu practitioner who has experimented with many natural supplements throughout my career and life. Right out the gate Hydrolyte checks my first box off in that it is a no BS, no filler, all natural product with high quality ingredients. This is extremely important to me. Now for the benefits: When I first tried Hydrolyte I expected to feel good as I knew it would cover all my electrolyte bases. What I did not anticipate was that it would not only make me feel good, but it would literally transform my training as a whole. Yes, this is a great product for hydration and is probably worth the money with that alone, but where I really got my "bang for my buck" was in Hydrolyte's ability to noticeably increase my athletic output; from my endurance, to the reducing of my fatigue in between rounds, and even visibly boosting my energy levels during training, Hydrolyte has me covered. These are changes that not only I noticed about myself, but one's that my coaching staff noticed. When my coaches asked me what I was doing differently, I simply told them I am physically and mentally doing nothing different, but now I add MMA Nutrition's Hydrolyte to my water. LOL. Read that again! I have literally leveled up in training by simply adding a scoop of this product into the water I was already drinking anyway. As an athlete I am always conscious of what I spend my dollars on because it adds up quickly; from multi-vitamins to amino acids, etc, but when I look at the dollars I spend on Hydrolyte, I look at it as a cost-savings to my training regiment. What do I mean? Quite simply, this product keeps me on the mats longer! It keeps my systems running efficiently without worry of dehydration, increases my endurance so I can push myself harder, and I recover faster from each workout. I am basically gaining the equivalent of a extra training day every couple of weeks just by by adding this into my regiment. Add those days up at the end of the year and MMA Nutrition is basically paying you! Thank you MMA Nutrition! I look forward to what you guys come up with next!

No sweeteners, safe to drink daily.. But the system do not allow more than 1 packet per order. I have to buy separately and pay for delivery! Thus giving 3 stars .

A few months into Keto and after seeing a Dr, started taking this supplement. It actually gives a boost that lasts several hours. The taste is fine, sorta non-descript. Just mix a scoop in 50 ml water, skull it down, then drink a cup of water as needed.

Perfect no added nasties, can be added to your favorite drink without compromising flavor.

Great product. If they could somehow find a way to add some flavour without any I'd give it 5 stars, but you get used to it
