Bought these to place one under a sealed bath following a previous leak and the other in an airing cupboard beneath the hot water cylinder. I have tested them and they are very sensitive (and very loud). Fortunately they haven’t detected any real leaks yet but have given us peace of mind.

We bought this wishing we'd known about it before we had a leak from our washing machine which over time rotted away our floorboards. It's very small which is good to fit into tight places. We have two kitchen boards either side of our washing machine so it's hard to see behind if it's leaking. This is positioned behind to warn us in the future of a possible leak. We tested it with a bit of water and it gave a loud alarm which is good.

We've had our hot water storage unit spring a leak a couple times now and has caused major issues with the ceiling below. So put one of these in a bowl under the tap that seems to be the repeat offender, and a few weeks later, we heard the unit loudly beeping indicating that the tap was leaking again. Managed to get to it before it caused damage to the ceiling again. The simplicity is brilliant, and it's loud enough to be heard anywhere in our small house.

Purchased this after our kitchen flooded for the second time this year. The second time our boiler cold feed had burst, leaking behind the kitchen cabinets and going under the floor unbeknownst to us for about a week.Figured I didn't want that happening again and got these. Literally a day after refitting the kitchen and pushing the washing machine back into position, the same evening this little gadget started screaming. Pulled the washing machine back and turned out the waste pipe was slightly blocked leading to overflow - something we'd never have known about until the wood floor absorbed it all up and started showing in front of the washing machine, by which point it'd be too late.Literally paid for itself 50 times over within 24 hours. Brilliant.

Bought to put in the loft for the water tank as it has overflowed several times due to a fault, checked it before putting it up and it worked fine. Tested it on damp kitchen paper as it said in the instructions and it went off good and loud. Haven't heard it go off as there's not been any overflow so far thank heavens, but I can't see why it won't work like during the test I did. It's quite small so ideal for tight spaces.
