I used this item as soon as it arrived and I'm very pleased with this unit, it is well built and operates very good. The Temp control is as good as it gets for a hot plate. I was able to maintain 225 - 240* (F) for 90 minutes although it required attention and minor adjustments every few minutes. I would buy again, I believe I found the best unit available at the $200. price range.

MIssing support rod. mixer's magnetism is weak, cannot turn speed very high before it loses control of the stirring bar. I am working with fluids with CPS of ~250-500, but have 3 other stirring plates, one very cheap without heat that can mix at far higher speeds. Gets very hot, need to be careful on heat settings.

It is nicely constructed of metal. I use it to mix water & sugar. Its performance is very consistent. The extra stir bars are convenient when I need to switch between 2 or 3 beakers....no need to remove the stir bar every time. Very satisfied!

It was purchase for my laboratory. It works as described. We would purchase it again.My researchers are happy with this purchase.

This works great for science projects. I needed a hot plate stirrer that would heat up fast and stir solutions together. I haven't had any issues with it. The retriever tool is helpful, too.
