I struggled to give this journal a review, because it could be a 5 star journal for some others. The pages are very, very basic and there is little guidance or information. There are a number of pages that are simply lined, for you to write whatever pops into your head. This could be good for the experienced gardener who wants to write specific information and knows their business, but as a brand new gardener, I need more structure than that.The Positive (which is a BIG positive and the reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 2) is that they have 20 dotted pages to sketch your garden and future or past iterations and plans for your garden layout.I ended up purchasing another journal ("my gardening journal") which has a color coded map of temperature zones (to let you know which one you're in and inform your plant hardiness), a goals page, a page to track where you have full sun/partial sun/shade in your garden, a pests tracking page, and three years of plant history tracking. This is the kind of structure I need. All of these things could be tracked in the Master Gardener Journal, but you'd have to know it first off, and not need any nudges. As a newbie, I need the nudge.Happy Gardening!

Love the pages and that it has a TOC but wish it were special bound so it would lay flat making it easier to write and draw in.

This is easy to use and has helped me out so much! I have so many plants, and my memory isn’t the best, so I needed something besides just writing on paper to keep track of everything. And I can add photos of the plants to help or help anyone who needs to plant sit for me! It’s great!
