Clovelly Soap Co Natural Handmade After Shave Skin Balm with Cedarwood and Lemongrass 40g Tin

I decided to convert to DE shaving, after countless hours of research and being disappointed to find nasty chemicals in 95% post shave balms, including the "sensitive" ranges from top brands... And some are rediculously over priced!I then came across this little natural beauty! With it having no reviews, I was debating whether I should get it or not.. But for £4.. It's not much to loose.Upon opening it, it smells lovely! But the question was.. Will it help with my razor burn? And I was pleasently surprised that it did! I understand there's other factors which come into play, such as the blade you use and how you shave. But I can honestly say after the last 3 shaves I've had it's done the job! I keep applying it, everytime my skin gets a little tight/irritated and it sorts it out pretty much instantly.Really pleased with this little gem. I wanted to review it, as it has none and it well and truly deserves 5* and people should really stay away from those top brands and give the smaller sellers a chanceMost often their products are superior and honest!Thank you seller!

I find it very hard to recommend this to anyone. I was looking for a liquid-type balm that I could put on my face to sooth my skin post-shave, and would sink in and leave my face feeling good.Instead, this wax (I don't know how it can be classed as a balm) just stays on your skin and makes it feel sticky. It doesn't seem to have any cooling effect either. The balm I usually use seems completely unavailable here or anywhere else, so I'm trying alternatives. This is definitely not it.

OK I'm probably not going to buy another one and to be fair i probably will never need to as the tin will last ages . i don't tend to get sore skin after shaving but wanted a bit of luxury , its a hardish wax that is a bit difficult to start but working between the fingers helps , it does smooth the face , but leaves a slippery residue that last most of the morning . one of the comments was talking about lip balm which i think is very fair - smells very nice - does sooth the skin - very pleasant to use - actually nicer to apply pre shaveif you do suffer from sore skin i would try it

Really nice smell and feels nice to apply after a shave. Can’t say much else. I found I can wear it with a separate aftershave and still get comments on the scent of my skin. I also feel like it has helped on the odd occasion where I've has a touch of razor burn. Would recommend thoroughly.

A shining example of the All Natural Fallacy! Using this product is essentially smearing lip balm across your face.

Not great.....
