Like new but at half the cost.
I recently purchased a refurbished Nikon 24-70mm f/4 S lens, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This lens has proven to be an exceptional performer, offering incredible image quality and versatility at a fraction of the price of a brand-new model.Image Quality: The sharpness and clarity of the images produced by this lens are truly impressive. From wide-angle landscapes to close-up portraits, the 24-70mm f/4 S delivers stunning detail and vibrant colors. Even at f/4, the images are crisp and well-defined, with minimal distortion.Versatility: The 24-70mm focal range is incredibly versatile, making this lens perfect for a wide range of shooting situations. Whether I'm capturing sweeping vistas or intimate portraits, this lens has me covered. It's become my go-to lens for everyday photography.Build Quality: The lens feels solid and well-constructed, despite being a refurbished model. It's weather-sealed, giving me confidence to use it in various conditions without worrying about damage. The zoom ring is smooth and precise, making it easy to adjust the focal length.Value: Perhaps the best part about this lens is the price. By opting for a refurbished model, I was able to save a significant amount of money compared to buying new. The lens arrived in pristine condition, and I honestly can't tell the difference between it and a brand-new lens.Overall: I highly recommend the refurbished Nikon 24-70mm f/4 S lens to any photographer looking for a high-quality, versatile, and affordable option. It's a fantastic lens that has exceeded my expectations in every way. Don't hesitate to consider a refurbished lens – it's a great way to save money without sacrificing quality.

My Favorite Lens at the Moment!
There are other reviews that can give more detailed technical specs on the 24-70 f4 so I’m just going with basic impressions.I had switched to using prime lenses several years ago and have been satisfied with my choice and then started reading reviews about the overall quality of some of Nikon’s new Z lenses and zooms, in particular the S line. The 24-70 f4 was consistently brought up as being exceptional. The build quality is solid, a little heavy but mostly made of metal, none of the usual plastic. The image quality is amazing at almost any range especially with a tripod. One of the things that impressed me was that I’ve been in several heavy downpours where I protected the lens as best I could but the rain didn’t seem to phase the lens at all. (I generally dry lenses and camera off the best I can and then remove the lens from the camera and let them dry overnight.) Everything about this lens feels solid and well made, all the controls are well placed and work smoothly and as quietly as they should. This lens has completely changed my mind about using zooms and telephotos and it’s one of the better camera gear choices I’ve made in a while.I ended up purchasing the z 50mm 1.8 S and feel the same about the quality of this lens as well!

Excellent Renewed Lens!
This lens is excellent! It is bright, precise, crisp, with silent auto-focusing. It has a more solid and controlled feel when zooming but noticeably more compact when compared with my f/2.8 28-75mm Z (non-S series) Nikkor. I needed a lens that was just a bit wider than the 28mm and the 24mm adds just enough extra width for my outdoor landscapes, without the distortion and aberration of an ultra-wide. When mounted with my weighty Z8 and Zf bodies, it feels very well balanced. I got the refurbished used lens option and I'm not disappointed. At half the original new price, this renewed lens arrived clean and flawless. It came in the original box with its caps, lens hood, English instruction booklet, and the even the soft cloth Nikon bag (all appeared new and unused). Great purchase!

A 'must have' lens for the Nikon Z system. Very sharp at all focal lengths, well made, a bargain.
Nikon designed this lens as their first offering with the Nikon Z system. They knocked it out of the park. A very usable focal length range that maintains is sharpness across the 'film' plane of the full-frame digital chip. A great bargain, especially if purchased in a good used, or refurbished condition. I would not hesitate to buy this lens, as I did, refurbished from Amazon. Just buy it!

Quality of the lens.
Initially I was concerned about the delay in delivery. That was solely a UPS issue. Lens works great on my Nikon Z 6iii.

Wow, what a steal for the price.
I have never bought a refurbished lense and was quite hesitant but wow, what a great lense. It even came in the original Nikon box with all Nikon accessories that made me even question if it was renewed. :) The quality of photos, crispness, and autofocus are fabulous. I have it paired with my Nikon Z7-II and it works like a brand new lense, highly recommend if you are looking to add a trinity lense to your arsenal and save some money.

Sharp
I love this lens. It's sharp, and 24mm is what I use most. But, the 70mm comes in handy when I need to get a little closer without changing the lens. I don't use prime normally, when I first got started in film I found myself struggling all the time looking for the right lens, then changing lenses. What a pain in the neck! Forgetaboutit! So having a 24-70 works out for me perfectly.
