good enough but poor battery
they're not quite as easy to use as I'd like - even switching them on took some figuring out, but they sound great, the kids enjoy using them and we've used them to keep in touch on runs. Trouble is that before you know it you're on one bar of battery and then it's difficult to trust that you can be in touch when you need to be.

Work well
You probably won`t make your fortune these days with Walkie Talkie, but they still a purpose. Mobile blackspots or if you don`t have a mobile, contacting a carer or family member in the house etc., and these are really good at those simple communications tasks. Easy to use and with a decent battery life.

Great little walkie-talkies
These are great little portable walkie-talkies. They are pretty clear, the volume is good and they're easy to use; you simply turn the top then push the side button to talk. There are a couple of other settings, like a 'baby monitor' option, but it seems a bit odd on a device which is definitely an adult walkie-talkie rather than a kid's toy. Like another reviewer, I did eventually hear someone else on 'my' band, which was a little spooky! Otherwise, nicely built, very solid, very functional!

Bingo bongo
I love these walkie talkies. The range is considerable, great for using whilst out hiking etc with my partner to keep in contact with. Intuitive controls and I love the electric blue colour. Most of all I love feeling all cool and important using one and you can leave one somewhere in the house with the volume low and listen to conversations or spook someone out. Laughs a plenty!

Fantastic
A great product. Looks good, well made and of good quality. A handy hand sized walkie talkie. It uses batteries or rechargeables and has a handy charging dock. My partner loves them and are much better than the ones he was going to buy originally.

Poor instructions
These are really well made and easy to use with terrific ergonomic design that reminds me a bit of my old Nokia 1202 and the batteries last all day long. They are slightly let down by instructions that I couldn't read easily, even with my glasses on. It looks like a font size equal to 5 or less in Microsoft Word. Barely readable. Fortunately, they have a manual on their website but it's not as helpful as it should be. Example, it tells you to insert the batteries by removing the battery cover. Strangely, I'd figured that much out, but I was unable to figure out which way to slide it and there was no diagram with arrows. Eventually, I realised that you prize it open from the side. So it's not opened by sliding at all. Hmm.That gripe aside, they are a bit pricey at £70. I''ve seen the baseline model for £25, but if you want the baby monitor function and the extra range, fair enough.

Great for older kids and adults, not for children!
I haven't had a pair of walkie talkies in a long while so these kinda brought back memories from when i was a kid. They are small, compact and lightweight, but have enough about them to feel decent to handle. They come preset to channel 1 but this is easy to adjust if required. They take 3AAA batteries which don't usually come supplied. They basically work straight out the box without setup. I tried these about 1/4 mile apart and in a built up area, to be fair they worked great, better than expected to be honest. But, after maybe 5-10 minutes use i got a huge amount of noise from a nearby building site, several crossed walkie talkies all mixing and i had to change channel several times to avoid a load of banter on them from builders. So this is a bit of an issue for something in a way advertised towards kids using them, i don't like the idea of them being listened in on or listening to someone else using walkie talkies nearby. This isn't a design fault, its just what it is, but for me it's an issue and i can't bring myself to let my kid's sit and play with these. Kid's of a certain age maybe can get away with this if they know how to change the channels to avoid signal clashes.Other than that, i do like them and will come in useful for me and my friends as i am a bit of an urban explorer so keeping in touch with my friend's out and about in an unsafe area is useful.

Great wee walkie talkies
These are compact but mighty. I'd highly recommend them. Not too expensive but very well made.
