The metal used in these anchors is akin to chewing gum it's that soft. Also the head of the anchor is not as shown in the photograph which looks like a disc; it has more separations and looks like a propeller. I have an anchor gun which usually makes using anchor bolts a breeze, but the design and soft metal used in these actually resulted in the top of the anchor being deformed before the body did. I had to drill the anchor out resulting in a large hole in the plasterboard. Also the screw end came off one of the anchors as it was pushed in. I needed to use 6 of these and four failed. Going to have to move the supports I needed to fix to the wall now, but will make sure to get better quality anchor bolts first.

I fixed these to plasterboard using some plug-fixing pliers and they are holding well so far (used for a small floating shelf, couple of standard bookshelves and a wall-hung desk). Not the strongest fixings i have used (in terms of their material), since 1 of the pack of 10 broke during fixing (over-compressed quicker than expected with the tool) but it was easy enough to remove it and reuse the hole for another one, so minor grumble.Overall, they were quick to install and are holding satisfactorily. I would buy again.

Good value for money

Great product. However, I ordered two x M4 x32mm and despite both being labelled as such there was clearly a size difference between the two. After further inspection one bag was 37mm not the required 32mm which was paid for.

Brilliant
