Great product all around
The Haitian Kid is definitely one of the best sellers I've had shopping on Amazon. This book is exactly what I was looking for, arrived very quickly, and was in very good condition. Thanks so much!

My professor required this book, but the binding on this book SUCKS. It will fall apart on you. Nonetheless, it still has a lot of great information.

Real life residential design!
Residential Design Studio by Robert Gordon delivers a full-service textbook for studio classes in residential design, as well as the reader interested in learning more about the homes they live in. This book really gets the reader's head into the unique challenges of a diverse range of housing types, from single-family to townhouses to apartments -whether walk-up or tower.Chapter organization and case studies pull readers out of our own comfort zone of a preferred "dream house" and engage us in using design to solve a very broad variety of different shelter needs at different densities. Numerous case studies from the work of ten different architects (including Gordon's own buildings) from all over the United States and Europe, introduce students to the concept of locally inspired residential design solutions. Hundreds of illustrations and photographs demonstrate the wealth of living arrangements possible in different housing types, supported by floor plans, diagrams, concepts sketches, charts and checklists. What I like most about this book is that Gordon makes the design student think like a professional, with a believable, and often funny and very current client profile for every project. Worth it for the client profiles alone! This is Robert Gordon's second design textbook and like the first (Perspective Drawing: A Designer's Method), it makes the reader feel like they are actually there, where the action is!

More challenges
This book brings about more information from different designs and locations across the globe as to how to re-think our living and working space. Many people want to travel less for work and use less of a foot print while doing it. A win-win over all.
