Great product and great customer service from Well Desk!
I've been wanting a decent standing desk for a long time and when I saw this one, I liked, not only the design and the color of the wood, but the price also. I work from home and am in front of a laptop for 8-10 hours/day. I am hopeful a standing desk will help improve my health as well as my mood while working! A few days in, I can already say I do feel better when I am standing part of the time.I ordered with Prime shipping and the desk did indeed arrive two days later. When the box arrived from UPS though, the side had been torn open and it looked like the slats had fallen out. Some of them were badly scratched. I contacted Well Desk customer service and shared photos of the box. They were prompt to address and fix the situation and I was satisfied with their friendly and thorough service. I assembled my desk and got to work!A few things I notice:I'm 5'8" and use this with a Macbook Air and an iPad connected as a second monitor. At some point, I may invest in a regular monitor, but for now, this set up works for me. It took some experiments to find the right height to adjust the top shelf, but I think I found the sweet spot. I use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse on the lower shelf. I also like that there are slots my phone can stand up in. The setup makes it really easy to dock all my devices here to charge at night.Even though I'm not using the double monitor setup in the traditional sense, I think this is the perfect width. It feels roomy and comfortable to work on the spaces provided by the desk. I set it up on a cheap table/desk from Target and the unit is not wobbly at all. It feel super sturdy and stable. I'm confident my devices are safe on the Well Desk.I bought an anti-fatigue mat to go on the wood floors below my desk. That was essential IMO. I read I should only be standing for an hour or so at a time, in intervals, throughout the day. I like to work from the standing desk in the morning, then take my laptop downstairs to the kitchen table or to my regular (sitting) desk, so this is perfect for me. If you only have room for one desk and need it to convert from standing to sitting, the Well Desk is not ideal though. While it disassembles easily enough, it would be time consuming and cumbersome to do that every few hours during the day.Overall I'm thrilled with my purchase and the support received from Well Desk. I would absolutely buy again if needed and would recommend this product to all my work-at-home friends!

Pretty good unit, but concept wasn't for me
I think this item is well constructed and actually has a lot of positives, but there's a few negatives that made it not work for my situation and i had to send it back. First off, you need to decide if you are ok with your monitors and keyboard at a standing height all the time (this does not telescope up and down). That may seem obvious, and i knew that going in - my intent was to leave everything "up high" and buy a work stool so i could be sitting at the correct height when not standing. However, the problem i found with this is that i have a whole lot of desk space down at normal desk height, and if i always work from standing height, it's just not as convenient to use. (Note: that is not a knock on this item, just a decision you have to make if you buy this type of stand instead of a one that telescopes up and down.)Ok, so as far as this item in particular...Pros: - It seems very well made and sturdy - it offers a great deal of flexibility as far as what height to put the monitors and the keyboard. - It's quite easy to slide the platforms out and try minor adjustments to see what height you like. - the platforms are big enough to provide a little writing space, that helps - the price is pretty good compared to telescoping desktop units, but you need to add in the price of a stool that lets you sit at this height too, because standing all day is almost as bad as sitting all day. you need to move.Cons: - even tho the platforms are pretty big, the slots that they slide into waste some of the space. I have 2 monitors and had a real problem because the vertical support blocked me from moving the monitors back to the correct spot. I got used to it, but didn't like. - the keyboard holder doesn't slide in and out. You can move the keyboard itself, but the platform sticks out a fixed amount. (I wished there was actually a fixed platform that went all the way from front to back, and i might've mounted my keyboard drawer to that.) The fact that i couldn't move the monitors back where i wanted made this bother me a little more. - The unit is pretty bulky, be prepared to take up a lot of space on your desk. All in all, i'd have to say i liked the unit, and probably would have either overlooked the fact that i couldn't quite adjust my monitors the way i wanted, or would have modified the unit itself (ie. once i knew the height i wanted, fix it so that was a real top platform). But the fact that i realized i wanted to be able to work at desktop height made me send it back.

Not really adjustable.
This desk is very pretty, but it did not work for me. If you want something where you can permanently stand at it then this could work great, but if like me you get tired and want to change sitting and standing every hour or so, then it's very hard to work with. It also takes up a lot of room on a desk, but I was excited by the extra storage and work area it provided. Again, if you are mainly standing then it would be fine, but otherwise I would go with one of the much less attractive adjustable versions.

I wanted to love it but I guess this was made for people ...
Waayyy too high for me unfortunately.... I wanted to love it but I guess this was made for people who are really tall. I’m 5’4” and to have it set up at a height that would work for me, the desk just wouldn’t work. Very disappointed:( My face would be pushed up against the monitors and there is too much room left in the back. Additionally, it BARELY fits both. Only plus side is that it’s easy to assemble; but I didn’t bother finishing the set up because I know it’s just gonna have to go back ....

Very bulky. I found it very hard to transition between sitting & standing without completely removing all of my things first. I'd look for another one...
