Great way (and easy) to make authentic Marinara sauce
We used to buy the high end Marinara sauce in a jar from the local supermarket. Then I happened to read the ingredients and thought to myself...I could make this:) If you're looking to make your own authentic sauce, it really is easy and tastes amazing. We basically make a huge batch then freeze some of it and it still comes out tasting great.Long story short, I wanted some authentic Italian tomatoes without paying the huge prices of the other brands that have the "DOP certification". We've tried several different brands from Amazon (including the ones with DOP) and this is by far our favorite and great price. I love that it is just tomatoes and puree...no salt and no basil leaf. They've done a great job of improving the packaging as well so dents should no longer be an issue.If you're looking for a price conscious way to make authentic Marinara sauce, this is definitely the brand and the way to go!

Huge waste of money as all is trashed
The most sour tomatoes I have ever purchased. And, for the price, never again. I cannot get rid or the sourness in my sauce no matter what. Huge waste of money as all is trashed. I will return to Cento and forget about your Organic San Marzano title.

the best canned tomatoes
I used to buy the non-organic Carmelina San Marzano tomatoes which were much cheaper but Amazon is not shipping them anymore to Hawaii. So I opted for the organic ones that still have free shipping. Naturally they are more expensive but still an excellent deal. The taste is the same as with the non-organic ones, and the fact that they are organic is definitely a plus. I used to buy the chopped organic tomatoes from Costco, but the San Marzano taste way better. Even though the Costco tomatoes are cheaper, there is no way back once you have tasted these tomatoes.

Amazing taste & quality
I like this brand so much. They taste so great. They have a wonderful meaty texture. Sometimes I buy canned tomatoes & I get a few tomatoes with a ton of sauce in the can. This brand really packs the can full of tomatoes. Wonderful quality. The vendor shipped them really promptly.

Found a maggot or grub
Carmelina tomatoes are the best tasting canned tomatoes I know of, and I have probably purchased at least ten cases from Amazon over the years. Unfortunately, in my most recent case there was a can containing a grub or maggot. I will therefore not be purchasing Carmelina tomatoes again and am now on the hunt for a new brand.

great taste, ok price
great taste, ok price, the only canned tomatoes i use. use subscribe and save to get them cheaper and keep your pantry filled. i have to keep adding more cases to my order because i go through them so quickly.
