Java EE and HTML5 Enterprise Application Development (Oracle Press) 1st Edition

If you have some experience in developing Java EE and plan to use HTML5, this book is for you.But, If you are the side of novice, this book is too condensed to study.It have just 140 pages. I think, the book is expensive for the size.

The book has an interesting content but is superficial, it is necessary to put more details especially in the security section, and it would be better if there was a deployment section. This book is okay for a brief demonstration.

Everything is okay

I'm a huge fan of Netbeans and the advocacy done by Geertjan Wielenga but I don't recommend this book. The material is too broad and the coverage too shallow. I use Netbeans on a daily basis and sometimes do this exact kind of work. Rather than educate readers I think this book is meant to show off new Netbeans support for a handful of JavaEE and HTML5 features. I'm actually surprised "Netbeans" isn't somewhere in the title. The writing is clear and concise. There is a surprising amount of background and description of the technologies. There are a large number of screenshots and short code listings. If you've never done web development and you've already decided on the Netbeans platform and you want to try out some samples before really getting your hands dirty this might be the place to start.

I've read blogs and books and tutorials of the three authors.The book is a precise tutorial for writing web services and interfaces with java EE and html5 and obviously NetBeans.

Short and rattles on about what I could learn from google. Seems that the book was hastily put together and rushed to press. Not worth the price.

Good overview although pretty web centric. Good build up of the example through the chapters from basic REST to HTML5 app.

A very worthwhile and informative book, useful for architects and web developers alike. Very highly recommended for anyone needing a Java EE refresher or moving from Java SE on to Java EE.

Uma boa visão geral, sendo assim, superficial.O prefácio, introdução, "quem deveria ler esse livro" e "o que esse livro cobre" induzem o leitor que seria um livro profundo e completo sobre os tópicos citados, mas é longe disso.Recomendo como visão geral, mas não recomendo como básico, intermediário, avançado ou tutorial sobre os assuntos citados.O preço não é condizente com conteúdo ou propósito do livro.
