LS 5700 is Everything They Say
I don't write reviews often. I think spending my hard earned money is review enough. This is different. I bought this unit for two reasons; It had two controls (one on the right of the unit and wireless remote) and it didn't have silly blue night light.I got them delivered (2) as promised and within two hours I had both of them installed. The packaging was excellent and they plugged in and worked. Since I've installed them we have talked about bodily function more in two days than in the last 5 years. My wife is very impressed and it makes a home run for me too. We spent some folding money on these two units but so far we both agree that we should have bought these long before this. The units are based on C temps not F and I wanted to convert the remote and that appears not be changeable after a very pleasant call from "John" at Living Star. To follow up that call, he convinced me that I needed inline filters and then sent them to me at no charge. So that doesn't happen often enough in my business dealings. If you have been on the sidelines, this is a unit you should seriously consider. We are waiting for our family members to find out we have these and Santa may be busy delivering more of these this Christmas

blows. But like, not well.
one can find what technically counts as a bidet for under $100. The reason to get something like this is that it also includes an air jet to handle drying, instead of needing like 10% as much toilet paper as one traditionally would, it takes an expensive air-drying seat to get that all the way down to 0. (though personally I still keep some around for guests who aren't willing to use this). But the air jet is awful. I don't know if I'm actually genetically part sponge or something, but it takes like 3 cycles of the air to make up for 1 cycle of the water. You can increase the temperature of the air, but then it takes it upon itself to reduce the pressure, leaving you back where you started. Also the remote control is stupid. The seat will only respond to the remote if it senses someone is sitting on it (I think by a pressure sensor somewhere). So why would one need to control it with a remote if one can never be in a remote location? "Ah, because! The attached control panel is behind you." True. But the remote uses an IR emitter, meaning it only works if you turn it around and point it at the sensor. So you'll be holding it backward and/or upside down, meaning you have to read, then press without actually looking. And while we're at it: you know what would solve the problem of pointing the remote at the sensor, solve the problem of having to twist around to the control panel, solve the problem of needing the seat to ensure it's occupied before accepting commands from the remote, and free us from needed to power the remote with batteries? A cord.

Good unit with may functions
I purchased this product about a week ago. The unit comes with two (2) control panels, one on the unit and one via wireless remote control (many more features). Had problems with the original remote becoming out of sync with unit when the cycle is stopped prematurely, but the vendor replaced it and all is fine.. That being said.... i am mostly satisfied with this unit. I wish that the nozzle would extend out a little further to better clean the front area, but I know that every ones anatomy is not the same.

Round model does not fit round toilets
Got this for an older round toilet. Did not fit righ and is about 2 inches past the rim of the toilet. Everything was out of the packages by the time I realized, so we kept it (because how do you clean to send all that back?). We got a round SmartBidet brand SB-1000WR for the other toilet that is the same make and model and it fits the round seat properly and does not hang over the rim like this one. I am not convinced the one sent was really for a round toilet, to be honest. It looks like the photos posted by other people, where it hangs over past the rim of the toilet about 2 inches. Quite disappointing, as it is a good seat otherwise. Really like having the controls on the side of the seat.

Good price and value to see if this is an addition you will be happy with.
So far I really like this bidet seat. We had our builder install it in a new home, so we have had limited opportunity to use it. There are lots of options to select and it seems easy to clean. I liked that it has controls attached to the seat in addition to a remote, so it can be used either way. Four stars because although it is an elongated seat, the actual seat opening is smaller than some others we have seen.

Automatic turn off
When the user gets off the seat, the water turns off automatically. This avoids the problem of having water spray everywhere. I like this feature!I have a bidet in our second bathroom which does not turn off automatically. That got kind of exciting one day until someone who understood the controls was able to help.

Great purchase!
This was a great purchase for us. I had been wanting a bidet for years and thought it was out of our budget. A family member with limited mobility was going to stay with us for a bit and we wanted to provide greater independence for her with the bidet. It worked amazingly! Everyone that visits us now wants one. It is easy to use and really does provide a more thorough cleaning. We've been able to stop using wipes and have been able to cut back on toilet paper. The first use was a little weird, but we quickly got used to it and now really wish bidets were everywhere.

So good we bought a second one
We are an older couple and one has an issue with range of arm motion. We bought the 5300 bidet version a while back and it works perfectly. We are so satisfied we bought a second one. This time we bought the 5700 version which is the same as the 5300 except that the 5700 has a remote control which makes operation even easier. The installation was not a problem. You don't have to replace the whole toilet. It replaces just the toilet seat. An important and very useful addition to our home and lifestyle. 5 stars!
