VD-8810 Color Video Doorbell w/Intercom System, Two-Way Communication, Wireless Handheld Portable Monitor Includes Recharging Cradle, Home/Business use, Great for Package Notification

This is a discontinued IVP-DH intercom previously made by a well known hi-tech manufacturer. This particular unit has an earlier generation doorbell and a later generation base unit, but it's clearly the same unit. I recently struggled with costly WIFI units from the other company but had nothing but trouble-so much for modern day technology. This IQAmerica unit uses plain old radio frequency and works just fine from 154 feet away. There is a small amount of RF interference but this is likely coming from my cable router in the same room. I have used one form or another of this device for nearly 10 years. The IQAmerica unit is far less costly than the other manufacturer version was.

Used this item at my mom's house.Package came with no instructions and the batteries that were included had split open and were leaking inside the package.After I cleaned the handset and outdoor unit, purchased 6 more AA batteries and installed the outdoor camera while the internal unit was charging.Once I figured out how to set the clock, I didn't bother to continue to find out if there are any other features.Item works as advertised. Not sure if I would consider buying another one.Possibly a wired intercom unit with monitor.

I'm a wheelchair invalid, who often gets to the door after my caller has left...this allows me to see who's there and to answer the doorbell if I want to...

The wireless doorbell that we received had obviously been on a shelf for a very long time. The plastic container was very dusty and 3 of the 6 AA batteries were corroded and unusable. The handset wouldn’t stop beeping once the rechargeable battery was installed. We couldn’t get the handset to accept any key pad instructions.

This has worked out great for my Mother! So easy for her to use and saves her from having to walk back & forth to the door. Picture is surprisingly good too.

The first thing I did not like is that all of the batteries sent with the unit were corroded and of no use. I like the unit itself other than it does not have a wide range. Have to tell people to stand right in front of it to be seen. Other than that, it serves it's purpose of letting me be able to know someone is there and I can chat with them.

Great product, I was convinced that my installed device would have to be replaced just because of a minor part. Access to the original saved the day. Great service and price.
