Great insights on how to get a job in investment banking
I am currently a sophomore in college. I found this book extremely helpful as it provides tremendous amount of insight into the pursuit of investment banking careers from an experienced associate and recruiter's perspective who worked in high prestigious Investment Banks.Prior to reading this book, I was not sure whether or not I would want to commit my entire youth and energy into investment banking; yet, Khalife's discussion about the advantages of a career path in investment banking combined with her personal experiences in the industry illustrate how rewarding this career could potentially be; hence, her text helped me make the decision to follow a similar pathway. Most importantly, for those who are truly interested in pursuing a career in investment banking, this book definitely offers more than enough wisdoms on how to apply for and obtain an internship/job as an undergraduate/graduate. Firstly, the book provides a crystal clear picture of what investment banking is and how investment banking is useful and essential among other departments in the finance industry. In addition, this book demonstrates how you can stand out from competitive peers from schools across the country; this book teaches you how to network your way into investment banking positions even though you may not be from one of the target schools from which investment banks normally recruit. Towards the end of the book, the author provides you comprehensive lists of interviewing questions that have been adopted by J.P. Morgan specifically, and other investment banks in general.Overall, this book is very easy to read. It is also entertaining as Khalife explains her points with a sense of humor. You can finish reading the book within several hours. Yet, you will highly likely need to read the book over and over again in order to fully absorb the points that she conveys. Furthermore, once you have completely understood Khalife's text, you will be ahead of you peers and will have those insightful and inspiring tips in mind while pursuing a career in investment banking.

Excellent Guide from an Insider
Exceptionally interesting and engaging read. I had been looking to find a book that would serve as a guide from an insider's perspective and this is it. The only reason why it didn't get five stars is that it could have used some editing. Found quite a few spelling errors throughout the book. Apart from that, I would recommend this to anyone seriously contemplating a career in I-Banking.

Additionally, the range of topics covered in the book is unparalleled, from understanding the industry, to preparing and interviewing for a position, to the role of an Analyst or an Associate. This book has it all - must read!

Many things you may already know if your target is to work in IBD but Donna as a previous associate at Banking gives very good tips for the interviews and CV preparation in order to increase your chances to succeed and get a job/internship at banking. Recommended for people who have no idea about the IBD hiring process.
