I paid a lot for something that looks so cheap, but I had no time to exchange it before Mother's day. After my mother opened it, I apologized, and asked her to hand it over so I could return it. She likes it and wants to keep it, but I am embarrassed, and she is simply being her usual kind self. I asked her to take it to a local jeweler to have it appraised while I am out of town on business. When I return, I plan to send this item back.
