My Pit bull got this for Christmas and I have one for my Golden Retriever too. love these beds. We also bought the soft bed topper that is optional and can be taken off to wash. I have washed them several times and they are still holding up. These beds are the best. Very strong. i can sit on them with either my Golden or my Pit. We bought the larger one for my Golden.. They have more than enough ample room to spread out. It is their "place" and as you can see in the photo they are just hanging out. In the summer we took our Golden's outside and we will do the same this summer with both. I just wish they made a folding one that we could take with us for training, as these are too large and would have to go in my husbands' truck. these are the Cadillac of dog beds, comfortable, durable, absolutely chew-proof, roomy and super light-weight. Highly recommend.

I bit the bullet and spent the $$$ on this bed after two of the cheaper Coolaroo versions bent and collapsed. This is a very sturdy bed and the protected edges are great for dogs who will chew anything. It is NOT easy to assemble single-handedly. It's possible, but not easy. I had to employ a mallet and few sturdy whacks on the hardware to get everything together. The other important note about this bed is the size. While it says the XL is 44x27 keep in mind that is the overall size of the bed, including the frame. The actual area on which the dog sleeps (the nylon part) is only about 41x23 so, though it may hold 250 pounds, if you have a dog that large, he likely won't fit on it. My 110 pound Berner looks like a giant on this bed. It's perfect for the 85 pound Golden.

I love Kuranda beds!!! They are the only chewproof beds I have been able to find for my Newfoundland. She has one for her kennel and a larger one for the living room area. She has joint problems (hip/elbow dysplasia) and these beds seem to be a very comfortable option for her, she sleeps/lays on them all the time. I definitely recommend these beds to dog owners that have chew-happy dogs, dogs with joint problems, and perfectly healthy dogs as well. They will love it!

Assembly was not difficult, but it was a little challenging to get the pieces screwed together without getting one of the other corner out of alignment. My dog likes her new bed and it is holding up quite well to her 55 pounds. having the nylon bed insert into the frame rather than wrapping around the frame is a major plus. My dog ate through the nylon from another company's product due to nervous chewing.

This is the bed to get. I have five dogs and they are bed destroyers...They go through just about every elevated bed with their constant jumping on and off and clawing.So, with many time three dogs on one bed, I got this one.It has outlasted all the others, and after a year, it looks great.Expensive, but the last one you'll need.And, I put it together in about 30 minutes.. easy,, no problems. no troubles.I got the breathable grey extra large. Yes, they are a little smaller than an extra large should be. But my dogs love them.

It’s made very well but my 85lb dog would never get on top of it. Something about the material.I just received the canvas bed cover and my dog jumped on it right away. Thank goodness. What good is a dog bed if they won’t use it.

Our 105-pound dog is enjoying this new bed, which is a big improvement over the PVC-type bed that she had outgrown. It did take her a day or two to get comfortable stepping up onto this bed because it is a bit taller than the other one. The "Ballistic Nylon" material on this bed is a solid material and does not have small, visible mesh holes like her other one did. As expected, it looks much more presentable in our kitchen area. The unexpected bonus is that this bed does not creak as she steps onto it as her other one did. It did take a little while to assemble this bed but we did not have any problems. I can definitely recommend this bed for big dogs.

I'm updating my review...initially my dogs would have nothing to do with this bed. I think it is because the fabric is so tight, it's almost like a trampoline and when they got on it, their little legs looked wobbly like they were afraid to walk on it. However, it's been another month and my dogs all use it daily. They haven't chewed it and the fabric is still tight. It's super easy to clean, too. This bed was NOT a waste of money, which makes me so happy!

I have two Labradors who have destroyed multiple beds. They really enjoy gutting pillow type beds. So far these beds have been exactly what they claim to be - chew proof. It is impossible for my dogs to get their teeth on the fabric. I recently added the toppers to the two beds,. and so far they have not attempted to destroy them. Either way,.. it is cheaper to replace the toppers for these beds than to buy new beds.

My Dog trainer talk me into this product. it is made great.i didn't like putting it together. Overall if someone is looking for a dog bed. this is very nice. I have two pups Labradoodles.neither one of the uses it.

So far this is the best bed for my dog. She's 85 lbs and this bed is quite sturdy for her size.

Dogs like it and don’t chew it, that’s all that matters to me!

My dog has destroyed every other bed except this one. Nice snug fit and finish. Only thing that could be better would be to supply nylon lock nuts instead of the lock washers and standard nuts.

Fantastic quality! Very sturdy and seems durable. Easily put together with one person in less than 30 minutes. Sadly though MY dog doesn't seem to understand its a bed and continues to sleep on the floor.

I love that they are in fact chew proof. I have 2 Vizsla and one Ridgeback. The youngest is a 1 year old Vizsla. Beds did not last more than a week.The only downside is they are a little tricky to assemble, but by the time the 3rd arrived we had assembly down to a science. It’s definitely a 2 person job.
