a little miffed
It's a bench, so there's not a huge amount to say, it's sturdy, it's comfortable, so in that respect it scores 5 stars. What lets it down little is that if (like me) you're hoping to pack this up and slide it under your bed etc after use , then it's not as easy as you might think. it's not just a case of removing a bolt and swinging the legs down, there's a bit more unscrewing and screwing involved. But the one thing that's really off is the image on the page, it shows a height of 10cm when folded, when in fact it's 20cm! NB: the image can not be referring to just the cushion as that is only 6cm thick. ut if this caveats suit you, then it's a good bench

Well-made, tough, workout bench
I'm making a concerted effort to get fit, and have been going to the gym regularly. However, most of the high-intensity work I do there is aerobic, and I need to do more weight/resistance-based sessions.I still have some weights at home, but got rid of my previous bench many years ago, so went looking for some new options. This caught my eye, firstly, on the design / flexibility and I also thought it was a good price (£65) for a good quality bench. You can adjust the height at either end of the bench, depending on whether you're doing seated / prone / kneeling weights or sit-ups - see attached pictures. It also folds flat (takes 30-60 seconds, depending on how tired you are!) so I can store it out of the way, which is great, and the padding makes it very comfortable to lay on - and it's wipe-clean, to make cleaning up quick and easy when you're done.

Can't get a huge incline, but it's good value and solid
Getting back into weight training after a 20 year break (and jeez it's harder than it was when I was in my 20s - slower progress too!)I didn't want to spend a fortune - and this was £70 when I bought it - and didn't want a big lump knocking around at home. This, as the 'miffed' reviewer rightly says, only folds down to around 20cm thick, which may mean it'll slide under your bed, or maybe not. The 10cm quoted is simply wrong. I'm not too miffed though - during the day it's taken over as my desk seat (reasonably comfy), then gets moved a little of an evening, and becomes the weights bench. There's a fair amount you can do with it. Admittedly it has no arms to support a barbell, but that would have made it a pain to store / leave around, and obviously I knew that when I bought it. I've been doing a lot of dumbbell bench presses with it (up to 60kg, but not convinced I'll get close to the 100+ of my 20s). Also great for sit-ups on an incline or the flat. 100 a day is slowly paying dividends (I managed to get 50 in during a particularly dull conference call the other day). The incline's a bit disappointing. I think it's probably only 30 degrees up from horizontal, at most. I feel it should go to 45, but see why it can't (it would need to be taller to fit the extending leg in). You can drop the other end so it's virtually on the floor, then get a more severe incline - but it's a weird position, and - as there's no fixed seat part, it doesn't really work; you tend to slide down till your arse is on the floor - you can still bench like that, mind. The solution there is to get a more expensive bench with a fixed seat and inclining back rest (but then you're back to having an ungainly lump knocking around)Horses for courses - it is what it is and is great as a simple bench with a mild incline feature. Oh, and you'll see Made in Germany as you unpack it. I found that reassuring, and it is well built. I've hammered it over the last couple of months since buying it and it's good as new.

Undecided. Good value for what it is?
Good weight bench except for the fact that its unstable for me when in the sit up position. It rests on a little rubber piece when the legs fold under and any movement not directly up and down for a sit up, feels unstable. Forget trying to use any weights on your chest during a situp.I also found it unstable lying down on my back using heavy dumbells.I am using it on a solid rubber gym mat so mabe it would feel better on a solid floor. The legs were attached out the box which I will try tighten tonight and see if it makes any difference.

Great and sturdy
With the gyms closed, a bench has become a must have for fitness enthusiast, and this has been great for the months since the first lockdown in March 2020. I use it thrice every week, and never had a problem with it. It takes my weight without issues and it never made any sound or anything strange. It’s very easy to assemble as well, the instructions are clear and you can fold it and store it under your bed when you are not using it. 5-stars for my lockdown companion, I would recommend it to anyone interested in working out at home.

Ideal for home gym
Firstly, one reviewer claimed it is made in Germany. Mine clearly states made in China, but obviously for a German company, who appear to have specified a pretty high standard not always seen in Chinese equipment at this price point. I have a Chinese made dip station which is nowhere near the quality of this bench. Amusingly they suggest that you need two or three people to assemble it, but I put most of it together while taking a phone call. It is well designed, the steel sections are good quality and the welding is exceptional. The bench is very comfortable, as are the foam leg pads. My only gripe is it has a little slack in the frame joints that gives a tiny amount of wobble. If this puts you off, then be prepared to spend double on a pro bench. The range of adjustment is good, but bare in mind that this is a pretty basic bench. Ideal for abs. If you like the idea of folding it down to store away every day, I would say forget it. As another reviewer points out, it is just too much work.
