**Pictures are for reference only and showcase the plants in general but are actual plants from my garden* Gynura Procumbens is a wonderful plant with high medicinal value. It’s not really spinach. There are a lot of plants that have “spinach” in their common name – it seems like a catch-all name for a lot green, leafy vegetables. This tender perennial is easy to grow, good to eat, and nutritious. It is used as anti-hypertensive, glucose lowering, anti-inflammatory and source of proteins andperoxidase. Gynura procumbens is a twining vine, smooth except for the peduncles. Leaves are stalked and, in shaded areas, they are darker green and appear rather flat but under direct sun, the two sides of each leaf may develop a slight V shape along the mid-rib and take on a lighter green color. In spring the plants go through a flowering cycle when little leafy growth occurs and the plant is covered in yellow-orange blooms. Mature height and width: Overall plant height is usually less than a foot, but the width can be several feet if allowed to grow unchecked. Growth can be kept in bounds by frequent harvest of the long stems. What you will receive: One well rooted starter size plant growing in a 4 inch pot. Plant will be about 4 inches tall and made up of 3 rooted cuttings. The plant will be shipped with a little soil in a plastic baggy. No pots.
