Last time I bought this, it was excellent. This time, not. They’ve added fondant to original recipe. Such a disappointment.Scottish tablet should only be made with milk, butter and sugar. You can use condensed milk for extra sweetness. But never fondant. It disrupts the taste and texture. Regretfully I’m throwing this lot out.

Tastes just like how I remember Tablet tasting.Extremely rich, big pieces can only eat a couple its so sweet.Big enough bag to split up and put a few pieces into smaller gift bags with a ribbon to give away as little thank you's.

My favourite sweet guilty pleasure. Beautifully crumbly melt in the mouth tablet with a rich buttery caramel type sweetness. The flavour is spot-on for butter tablet aficionados. Good price for the bulk purchase and in a plastic bag to seal in the freshness. Supplier was also prompt. Excellent all round!

Nice tablet not the best but not the worst, very good value for money

This definitely isn’t gift able. It comes in a big plastic bag.It’s more like fudge than tablet and quite sticky so it flakes off and starts to look like mush.I think it would be better off in a box because once opened it needs to be eaten pretty quickly so that it doesn’t start to rot or grow mould but if you do eat it quickly it’ll definitely rot your teeth!!!! There does seem to be a vanilla like taste which I wasn’t expecting.Probably nice treat for a party and I suppose you could divide it into little bags or boxes but it’s quite sweaty so it’ll leave marks on packaging if cellophane isn’t used.I did like it but I think I’d be trying a different brand in the future.Given the price I’d expect better packaging but you do get a good amount for the price.
