Q: Does this come ready to hang - already assembled?

Clock is ready assembled, and comes with a neat "wall hanger" which is a small device to hammer into the wall (small pins) and it has a plastic hook matched to the clock. Great quality and well made.

Q: Would it be possible to paint the main body of the clock a different colour (say, a dark grey)?

I’m sure you could paint it, but why would you? The black finish looks great on any surface. We’re very happy with the look of ours on a French grey wall.

Q: When resetting the time do you only move the hands clockwise or can you wind it anti clockwise

You can turn them clockwise/anti clockwise by using the small wheel at the back of the clock where the battery receptacle is.
