Works great!
This is very easy to use and it works wonderfully. My 12 year old put it together, as it was purchased for a project she was doing for school, but she did have a little trouble putting it together. My husband easily helped her fix what she did incorrectly and it was done in about 30 minutes.

Good starter unit for leafy hydroponics
This is a nice 'starter unit' for getting into hydroponics for growing leafy plants like lettuce. It came with decent image based assembly instructions. The parts went together easily, and without using any PVC glue... no leaks on first test. Use a block of wood between a hammer and the pipe to prevent cracking/damage to the plastic. The pipe is METRIC sized and from China... so it is not the same sizes as US based PVC products. The thickness of the pipe is not like Schedule 40 PVC in the US, so it feels a tad "fragile"... but should stand up to normal use. The pump is adequate to have decent flow, and is adjustable as to flow rate. The net cups are VERY small... so only smallish plants will work well in this unit. Stuff like lettuce and some herbs. One actual negative here is that the nutrient feed tube will need to be replaced because it is not opaque to light.... and will allow algae to grow in the nutrient when exposed to light.

Solid setup for lettuce and other greens. No leaks!
This is my second PVC kit. First one had three layers, worked great, but didn't have enough room for plants to grow. This one is perfect for lettuce, spinach, bok choi, and other greens. I like how the hose attaches so there is no risk it falls out. And I've had zero leaks so far.

FLOODS FLOOR Why is this $100?
SECOND UPDATE: So mine just didn't have a hole where it should have I am shocked it was leaking out at all. I had to Dremel a hole where there should have been one. It works perfectly now.UPDATE:Now I have it all hooked up and got a bucket i can use for water in and out. the plant holes on the bottom layer are flooding my floor instead of it coming out the drain pipe WHY?! I followed the instructions exactly and it can drain i tried to siphon it and that kind of works but its not draining. How do I make it freaking drain!?ORIGINAL REVIEWI get it i didn't have to design it myself but it is made in china so I KNOW this seller is getting a $50-75 mark up on this. Putting it together wasn't difficult per se it only took 20 minutes however it didn't go into the slots easily. Gently using a rubber mallet, which was necessary, still cracked a tube where the water exits the system... i duck taped it. A major issue I have is I couldn't get the rubber tubing that connects to the contraption to fit properly that comes from the pump. I have no idea if that is going to work out, also had to duct tape that too. The cup fittings are not universal so I have to use ones specifically for this instead of other 2 in cups. The major issue with that is that i wanted to use clay pebbles as a medium, which i already bought. These cups might work with concrete gravel bc they slots are HUGE theres no way I can use any medium except the rockwool which I would like to avoid. I guess the seller thought this was a good alternative they sent me styrofoam that is precut idk if that is even safe to grow food in AND A HUGE PORTION OF IT IS STAINED PISS YELLOW!!!! I have no idea what this is but im not growing FOOD in this, what the hell? Work 30 bucks tops for the whole thing. I feel very ripped off.

Decent product
Its a decent product, includes everything necessary. Good solid fittings and everything went together well. Instructions are bare minimum and some common sense has to be used in connecting the hose into the PVC part, but most people should get it if they've ever done any basic pipe plumbing before for simple compression connectors. The cups and foams are all very good quality, slits are cut in the foam for easy seed insertion. Pump is a good heavy volume one, hopefully it'll last.

Total time saver
This thing is awesome. Sure, I “could” have gone to the hardware store and bought all the supplies but at this price point I’d save maybe 10$ and spend all weekend cutting and drilling and getting frustrated. Make sure you clean it out! Mine was packaged with a hearty helping of human or animal hair.

Work horse
After 4 months it works as well as day one. No leaks, and the water pump motor is great. Quite a bang for your buck!

working well, so far, a couple days.
I would have liked a catalog from the manufacturer to get replacement parts, a new pump, or a bit more on how to. I’m a beginner, and never to proud to learn something new, or from someone else’s mistakes, so I don’t have to make the same mistakes.
