Very nice knife set, definitely recommend. Good weight, well balanced sits on work surface without blade touching. Quality blade nice thickness but not overly like some . I purchased knife sharpener to match so I able to maintain a sharp blade. I absolutely love these. Will look nice in any kitchen. Knife block small & compact so doesn't take up to much space The only down side is that they are a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Would strongly recommend purchasing some plasters if accident prone like me during transition from my blunt old knives I've gone through a box as kept catching self on the tips during 1st cpl of weeks.

This was on offer and great value - an excellent set of knives to Japanese standard. So very sharp though- please take care (such a joy to use!).

After a year and a bit of moderate household use these knives are still fine. Easy enough to sharpen. Only issue with these knives is they have hollow handles and so after being washed in the washing machine and dried there is still liquid leaking out the bottom when held blade upright.

My wife wanted new knifes for the kitchen so came up with this set as we have limited space and she wanted an upright block which would not take up much space. This set and block fits the bill perfectly. The knifes are held into the block securely by magnets and the knifes themselves are so sharp and cut so beautifully that we are really pleased with them.

Love the design and ease of use of this block. Knifes are good quality and sharp. However the magnets in the block have already started to detach one of which is the knife we barely use. When the magnets fall out the don't always stick back in making the block essentially unusuable.

Love the shape of the block and the small space it takes up. Love the colour. Love the different knives. Very effective for a variety of uses! All round fantastic.

Used them for the first time today. Been needing new knives for ages and finally got around to treating myself. Good decision.
