As soon as you get these boards you will need to upload the current bootloader in Arduino IDE.
You will need to load the bootloader! Works well if you use a second Arduino as the programmer. The product description should say "The bootloader will need to be uploaded. These boards come with a generic bootloader. Not an official Arduino bootloader."

Good Nano
These work and can be programmed directly USB. Hard to tell if you will get the old or the new bootstrap loader code on it - check both with the IDE when you are uploading.

Mix of bootloaders
It would be easy to think some of these are faulty. I've bought this a dozen times, and the most recent batch had a mix of 2 different bootloaders. After successfully programming a couple of them, I came across a few that wouldn't respond. Glad I thought to try the official bootloader, since that did the trick.Otherwise, they get the job done. Fair product at a fair price.

Easier to fry
2 out of 3 chance of actually working. Also sides are not sanded. Watch out for fiberglass slivers.

Good value
After reading other reviews I soldered all three up and loaded several programs I know work. All three worked as advertised. I’m happy so far. I’ll update this review if I have issues in the future.

So far so good, but needed drivers and old bootloader
Board finish was a little rough, but otherwise, decent. To get this to talk to the Arduino IDE, you need to install the drivers for the CH340 chip (there are plenty of tutorials online) and then in the IDE, select Tools > Processor ATmega 328P (Old Bootloader).

Not most current need to Select tools /processor/old bootloader
My sketches worked fine on the boards i already had but would not upload to these boardsThe trick is to select tools --> processor --> (old bootloader)after that it will uploadthis indicates that this item is not the most current version of the Arduino Nano
