A great little book for the young rock hound . Explanations and illustrations guide to an understanding of rocks and gemstones.

Great book for kids and adults. My son and I use this book in our homeschooling and we are both learning a lot about geology.

I got this book for my seven-year-old grandson. I looked at many other rock books, but I like the illustrations in the description on this one.

I got this for my nephew who is collecting rocks and stones. It is a nice beginner book for kids. It is an easy read.

My kids are always asking what kind of rock this is. This book is short and easy to read, but in-depth enough to give them a grasp on the subject. It's also small enough they can take it with us on hikes. I got them each a rock collector journal that has space to paste a picture of the rock to go with it.

This book will be a great book for my grandchildren to learn and appreciate rocks

This book is a great intro into general geology. Lots of pictures and info for big and little kids alike.

Lovely book but unfortunately focus on American geology. Grandson still likes it.

This is a fairly clear book but it is based on North America. The maps certainly and much of the information possibly (I've not yet read it through) could be irrelevant.

This fun book is full of great info for kids who are into collecting rocks and finding "gems"!
