Great product. I'm not usually one to write reviews but after seeing some of the negative feedback on the product, I'd like to help others make a decision based on my personal observations."bucket has some wetness inside" - No really? It's sand and it's natural – so what did you expect!? Mine were a little wet truth be told, but a few hours under the sun took any remaining moisture out of the sand. Definite not something worth taking even .5 star off."the bucket was hard to open" - Ok, so you want fresh sand from the beach, but you also want to make sure it stays fresh. It wasn't THAT hard to open. You just need to pull a little harder b/c the folks who made the product really want to make sure it's good enough for you the customer. So give them a break and don't knock them for it.Overall, the sand is great. No weird smell. Natural as hell and totally clean. I can't wait to have my little one play with it! 5 STARS.

This is quality sand! Easily moldable, cool to the touch & soft!! My 3year old her friends played with it for hours!!

I’ve read TONS of reviews for sand, a tonnnnnnn!! Being that it’s all natural and is the same type of sand that we have her in our FL beaches, I decided to pull the trigger. I used 1 bucket for my kiddos 2Step water/sand table and it’s perfect. Best part is that it doesn’t leave that icky dust on her hands & she can pour as much water on it as she wants and the next day, it’s dry and ready for play. Love it. Will be buying more for next season.

It works for what I needed it for. But, it's wet and may contain some stones. So, keep that in mind, if you're getting this for a project.

I bought this bucket of sand to go into a dinosaur themed sand and water table for my toddler. The one-gallon bucket was the perfect amount. I read the reviews saying that the lid was hard to get off, as it should be for something that would make a major mess if it were to open on accident. I used the claw end of a hammer to get the pull tab loose and used my hands to tear the plastic seal ring all around. After that the actual lid was easy so it was no big deal. My toddler had a lot of fun, so mission accomplished.

Bought to mix with soil for my gecko. Pretty nice but did sometimes have hard clumps

Earthborn Elements is out of business, probably because they sealed their products FOREVER in containers that cannot be opened without nuclear weapons. All I wanted was some sand to put between my brick pavers, I was not asking for the moon. I totally agree with the other customer review and feel vindicated that someone else also experienced the same problems with this supposedly REUSEABLE container, WHAT A LIE! More like UN-useable! I COULD NOT OPEN THIS DARN CONTAINER! I FOLLOWED ALL THE (limited) INSTRUCTIONS ON THE LID TO THE LETTER AND TRIED EVERYTHING! "TO REMOVE COVER BREAK AT OPENINGS" I tried that for over an hour! I called Earthborn Elements and they have left the building, I called the people that made the container (Letica Corp) & they don't answer a phone, and I called the people that sold it on Amazon and they also don't answer a phone. So I gave everyone involved a chance to fix the problem but they did not make any effort to help. I finally attacked the lid with a screwdriver and clippers and hammer, btw the lid does not look at all like the nice neat one in the picture it is a lot more poorly made and it does not seem to even fit the container correctly at all and there is a gap so that you cannot twist it off like a paint lid or pop it off in any conventional fashion! You could seal hazardous waste in there and it would never see the light of day, why don't they employ it for that purpose? It cannot be removed no matter how much force you apply, and do you really want the sand bursting out all over? NOT ME! This is just some kind of garage resale remainder that has been sitting on a shelf somewhere for decades that no one wanted and it ended up here on AMAZON as a total junk sale, I am very surprised that Amazon would list such a poor unsupported shabby product, it is over-rated at one star but I could not give it the negative stars it truly deserves, so do yourself a huge favor and buy anything else instead of this product. I should send them my medical bills from trying to open this nightmare!

I bought this sand for my kid’s play table and it is great for that purpose. The lid is a little difficult to open but not nearly as hard as others make it sound - I opened it in a few minutes with a screwdriver. And the lid is perfectly reusable if you open it correctly. I also didn’t find any water or stones in my sand like others complained about (although I ordered it a while ago and didn’t open it for months so it might have dried out). Very happy with the product and would totally order again!
