Fisher-Price Thomas & Friends Wood, Cranky at the Docks

My three year old loves the Thomas and Friends series, and one of his favorites is Cranky the crane who makes an appearance in many an episode. This set is perfect for him, sturdy enough so he can manipulate the crank up and down, and take the containers (the set comes with four for the flatbed boat), on and off the loading ship and onto the trains. Constructions feels like it will last a long time, and it comes at a great price for what you get. Fisher Price did a great job on this set.

Grandson loves this! Great accessory for train sets and beyond. Works smoothly, picks up magnetized pieces. It’s a bit top heavy, so have to sometimes hold it in place. A heavier base would be great.

A little pricy but... fine, fine Thomas and Friends... you can have my money! Cos this is cool ;) well, if you’re three and a fan of the show.... this is SUPER cool. Who DOESN’T want their own Cranky the Crane? The adaptor pieces make it possible to attach to regular (non-Thomas brand) wood tracks too. A big hit!

Works well with wooden train tracks that Brio and other generic makers sell. Cheaper than a Brio add-on if your child likes Thomas or your child is looking to get a little more diversified with their train set builds.

So, my lo loves Thomas and Friends. He likes this Cranky, but it is a bit difficult for hime to use the "crane" portion. It's a knob on the side that he has to turn back to lower the hook and forward to lift. It doesn't work very well unless something is already attached to it providing some weight. Lowering it down you have to turn the knob back and pull on the string to get to lower. It gets a little frustrating for him sometimes, but he likes playing with.

Bought as an accessory for my grandson’s Thomas the train wooden train set. It is well made and as advertised. My grandson loves it.

Cranky showed up under the Christmas tree, at half the price of the local toy store. (As much as we prefer shopping local, I guess Santa’s elves were more frugal...) The two-year-old in the house loves loading up Cranky’s magnetic cargo over, and, over, and over. A hit!

Little one absolutely loves. Now every crane we see is a cranky. One of his favorites. Great addition to our Thomas family.

Our little boy has been obsessed with Cranky the Crane ever since he got a few plastic toy with his Thomas magazine. It didn’t last long. We decided to add this set to our wooden train collection. The magnets work really well and our two year old enjoys the role play. It’s pricey though - not sure if that’s because there’s limited stock. I only bought it with a voucher I had. Wouldn’t spend 50 quid on this...

All that it took to let us know we had purchased a quality product was to see the smile on our Grandson's face as he opened his present and saw that it was Cranky at the Docks. He played with it until it was his bedtime and was back playing again when he got up in the morning. Definitely recommend this purchase to anyone who has grandchildren who are Thomas the Train fans.
