Not bad
I was between three and four stars with this, its quite a small toy a tad bigger than hot wheels cars but comes in a massive plastic box and has three of these little disks and a little sticking badge to come with it. The whole thing though does feel a bit flimsy like the wheels are not going to last too long which is another thing which I compare to the modern hot wheels cars which cost about £1.It does work though leaving these little disks for the car to run into it doesnt always "flip 360" but rather jumps because of the little plastic spring underneath which when you reset could catch your hand (presumably why its for 6 and above) It flips into its sort of animal stance which is pretty good. Its nice enough as a toy a bit expensive for what it is and its overall build.

Fun to play with and no batteries required.
Smokey is one of a range of vehicle/creatures in the Screechers range. Basically he is like an armoured, futuristic looking, 4x4 combat vehicle that can somersault in the air and transform into a 4 legged creature that (vaguely) resembles a bear. The transformation action occurs when Smokey is struck by (or a strikes) a coloured activation disc or 'energy coin' (the discs themselves are collectable). A magnet inside the Screecher draws in the disc which activates and internal latch. Transformation back to vehicle form is done manually. There are YouTube videos which demonstrate Smokey in action and they are helpful in getting the hang of how the toy operates. As with other Screechers, not as fragile as it first appears.

Impressive but it is best with the Disc Blaster (sold separately)
This is quite impressive. Smokey is an armoured police car. When you fire or throw a disc (supplied) at Smokey, it morphs into a bear. You then click the parts back down to turn it back into the police car.The only real problem is that it is best used with Screechers Wild Rapid Fire Disc Blaster which you have to buy separately. It does work without it but when I have seen this advertised online, it has been used with the Disc Blaster so I thought that the Blaster was included. There is a longevity problem but Transformers have been around for a long time and kids like them. Seeing the transformation is pretty impressive.Price at time of review: £10.99

Fun little Transformers derivative
This was a little more expensive than I'd expect for such a small toy, but it works really well, which isn't always the case for transforming figures! We'd never heard of Screechers, so I don't know if this ties in to a cartoon or tv series etc, but it really doesn't make a difference for a toy like this, which is as good as any Transformer, and works reliably for small hands. The selling point seems to be the disc that makes the toy transform, which is novel, but not exactly life-changing. These are all moot points for kids, who won't have massive knowledge of Transformer toys of the past, and will probably think this is great. My seven-year-old daughter enjoyed playing with this a lot.

Smaller than expected
Is never heard of Screechers before seeing this toy so was quite intrigued. When it arrived I was, however, disappointed to see that it was a lot smaller than I'd expected. It comes complete with 3 discs r you use to make it transform. This works very well and much more easily than a Transformer I had the dubious pleasure of helping a family member's child with a number of Christmases ago because no one else could work it (the Transformers of my youth had been a lot less complicated). It is fun for the kids, who have enjoyed playing with it but I think that it's rather pricy for the build quality and size - I'm not sure of the longevity of durability or of interest.

6-year-old thinks it’s wonderful
I can’t say this is a present we’d have chosen but our almost-7 grandson loves this. That’s what the five-star rating is based on.It’s smaller than you might imagine, at less than 10 cms long, but that almost adds to its appeal. Build quality seems generally ok. The price seems a little excessive though, at more than £10, and the packaging even more excessive, so I'm not sure we'll buy more.

Screechers Wild car toy
Obtained for a grandson, although he is slightly under the recommended six + guideline, nevertheless, with parent supervision he has had some pleasure out of it so far. After saying that, it is a lot smaller than the size you would expect and the construction not surprisingly, is rather on the fragile side. For the price I don't think it is particularly good value for money-hernce three stars- but as I have suggested, a young child will undoubtably get some pleasure from it before it either breaks or they get bored.

A versatile toy
My eight year old nephew loves these kind of toys. He regularly plays with cars anyway but really likes ones that do something extra and, like this one, change into other things or flip over when they bump into things. It went quite fast on a wooden floor and because it’s not that big it did disappear under the furniture a lot but he really got a lot of fun out of it anyway and played with it for a long time. A toy that’s well liked, well played with and a good size for youngsters.
