Our high energy 9 month old kitten started using the outside corners of a hallway for his toe stretches and was shredding through the drywall. I bought 2 of these and boy does he love them,. As others have pointed out, the mounting flaps on these things are very flimsy and tore off within hours and the drywall anchors with screw provided pulled out in the first hour. I had to drill holes through the corners of the scratchers and use heavy duty drywall anchors to securely mount them where we needed them. The scratchers have been up for 3 weeks now and are holding up to his abuse very well. Overall they were a pain to get mounted but are worth the extra steps to keep kitty happy and the walls protected.

My Siamese loves to scratch on a corner and ruined a whole corner in my old place. When I moved and he picked out his favorite corner I bought this unit to save my wall. The unit is sturdy and well made however, the unit came off the hooks and scared him and now he does not use it at all. I am trying to coax him to use it again but the unit really needs better installment set up so it stays on the wall rather than just two hooks at the top.

The product was open when I received. Not sure if packaging was so weak it came open during shipping or if I received an already opened item. But the wall mount scratcher appeared fine. It is definitely not the highest quality and I don't expect it will last long if my cats actually use it. Wall anchors snapped when Intried to put them in. Thankfully I had plenty of my own on hand so it wasn't a big deal. The bottom does not lay flat, so I ended up attaching that to the wall with my own hardware so it didn't look so odd and would stay flush with the wall.Was supposed to come with a corner self groomer but that was nowhere to be found.If I had it to do over I don't think I'd buy this product.

Not that it’s the products fault but my cat just wouldn’t use it. But bigger than that is that the adhesive isn’t good enough to hold its own weight. It came with mounting hardware but I am in an apartment and didn’t want to drill holes in the walls if it was supposed to be able to stick. I added masking tape but that didn’t last very long. sending it back

This thing is perfect if you dont want the stand up type post. My son in law installed it on my wall that wraps around from my hall way to behind refrigerator. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars was that it has two loops at the top which you put the provided screws in, but it needs to be anchored at the bottom th same way or it flips around when cat gets on it scratching. Son in law just put screws he had into the bottom to hold it in place just above the baseboard. That needs to be fixed on th design. Otherwise, it couldnt be any better!! And the laser light helps kitty Fancy find it and use it. Good use for a laser pointer.

This did not work for my area. There is no way to attach the bottom of the scratcher to the wall at all so it's constantly bumped and pulled whenever anyone goes past it. The carpeting around the bottom edge comes off easily and makes a mess if you try to screw it to the wall so I wouldn't do that. And, my cats never touched it; they hated it! Waste of money and time (as far as waiting for it to get here).

My cats love this to scratch on! It’s well made, and my 5 cats will enjoy it for a long time. I’ve kept one of these on hand for 19 years because my cats love it! I couldn’t find one for a time, and was very happy to see it again on Amazon. It’s easy to mount on a corner, and it’s sturdy. I may add a screw at the bottom to prevent it from pulling away from the wall (it depends on the angle of their scratching at times.) I order 2 at a time, just because. Really don’t want to be without one. My cats love it so much!

The scratcher itself is good. It’s similar to other scratchers so I’m not sure where those bad reviews come from. But installation options are why I took stars off. The adhesive doesn’t hold up. I’d like to install on the corner of the wall but the corner of my wall is metal behind drywall. Anchors are too long.

Never got it, it was recalled by the Chinese manufacturer because it contains lumber product
