Easy to use, rugged, reliable
This Air fuel ratio meter is a must have for tuning a carburetor engine. The user manual is fairly simple and the meter is easy to setup and use. No need to wait and schedule time on a chassis Dynamometer and pay for it over and over. One time Dino tuning a car can easily cost more than this air/fuel ratio meter. I have also used it to read/clear OBDII codes on several cars and it has worked great for that too. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to friends.

Great product
The product is working great. I have no issue using it paired with romraider to log afr in conjunction with other ecu parameters.

Does not work - Do not recommend
I read the reviews on this system before ordering and assumed that maybe those people just had bad luck. I was wrong. This system was defective right out of the box. Prior to installing, the O2 sensor would not free air calibrate. Kept getting an E8 message. I wasted a full day contacting Innovate’s tech support, and they were not helpful. I was asked to test the system with another O2 sensor - Most people don’t keep $100 spare sensors just laying around. I returned the system and ordered a setup from AEM that works flawlessly.

This a handy tool to make tuning much easier. ...
This a handy tool to make tuning much easier. The only hard part was getting the bunge welding into my exhaust pipe. Once I connected this to my '63 C10 pickup, I quickly saw how rich I was running at idle and while driving. My truck was running smoother and with proper AFR in a short time.

Worked for a few months
Used it for tuning my mustang and figured I would try it after my brother bought one and used it on his car. Installation was straight forward and fairly simple. The lm-2 controller itself seems very cheesy as far as materials used to construct it as well as the 3 selection buttons on the unit "gives you that 99 cent calculator feel". For the first few months the the wideband and controller worked as intended as a standalone. I decided to start loging via the logworks software which comes with the package. This worked for one night of data logging. The following day without changing anything the wideband and controller started giving afr readings that spiked unrealitically high and low (99.1 to 0.12) all over the map. Than the controller started giving E2 and E9 errors. I figured that maybe my widband was shot, so I ordered another one (80 bucks) and plugged it in to calibrate and the same thing was happening again with a new sensor. I notice that this happens only when I had the lm-2 connected via usb on the computer runing logworks. I also noticed that the lm-2 handheld was getting really hot where the power is plugged into. For what I paid and the praise the lm-1 got I thought this would have been a better product and I didn't even mention the firmware bugs they have with getting the rpm to log. I wouldn't purchase this again.

Accurate O2 readings but horrible product support and missing SDK
UPDATE July 24-09:In all fairness to Innovate Motorsports, I figured I should update my review to note that the LogWorks 3.0 SDK is now available.ORIGINAL:I generally do not like to leave negative reviews but I feel people need to be aware of a few issues with this product. Originally, I was looking at the generally well-received LC-1 that Innovate Motorsports manufactures. I decided that I didn't want to hardwire anything into my car and figured the LM-2 would allow me to take readings from more than one vehicle as well.I use RomRaider to datalog and while it supports the LC-1 and LM-1, it doesn't support the new LM-2. Since RomRaider is open-source, I was hoping to write a plugin by using Innovate's LogWorks 3.0 SDK. Unfortunately, while LogWorks 3.0 has been released, the SDK has not and questions regarding its availability have repeatedly gone unanswered. This product was released over a year ago and still no SDK! In my opinion, that is unacceptable. To make matters worse, many LM-2 owners seem to be having a problem acquiring a decent/stable RPM signal and also experience frequent lock-ups while datalogging. I have experienced a few lockups while simply using the LM-2 to log straight O2 info. In all fairness to Innovate Motorsports, they have released new firmware to *attempt* to address the issues but there are still outstanding problems.I highly recommend that potential customers visit the Innovate Motorsports forum first before purchasing a LM-2.If I had to do it over, I would have gone with a LC-1 or a PLX SM-AFR. The LM-2 has a lot of potential but, so far, lack of support and unfixed bugs have really detracted from the usefulness of this product.

Very Classy - Great buy off Amazon
I have read lots of good things about this tool and more bad I must admit. But I am willing to be swayed since if it works and solves my engine tuning then I've saved my $$$ by not having to get Dyno sessions. All the components in the box were of good quality, nothing seems to be "Made in the USA" but it all feels good if that means something! To date I have not actually used it as I am waiting on the clamp which comes from another supplier - I got the meter kit 3 days after I placed the order...in Australia so can't argue with that! The only downer so far is there was no SD card when there should have been in the package..I will update this review once I've done my first setup and hopefully it will help me.
