Kwasyo 10 Trays Commercial Fruit Dryer
Very happy with product, I was a bit apprehensive initially due to other reviews regarding the noise which I found to be very acceptable, it is no louder than my microwave. In the first week I’ve done apples, plums, grapes, bananas, kiwi, lemons, oranges, carrots, mushrooms, beef jerky, and sweet potatoes and chicken for the dogs. Very happy with the results. The internal temperature does vary by a degree or 2 based on where the tray is, the middle trays being the hottest, and as expected the area nearer the heating element is warmer than nearer the door so it does help to rotate the trays during drying. The stainless steel trays are of a nice quality but some of the sticky fruit was difficult to remove in one piece, will definitely be getting some silicon sheets. The casing does get quite warm, great for drying towels on! Can’t wait for next season’s fruit and veg from the garden!

Good purchase
Great dehydrator, loads of space inside and isn't too noisy when running. Arrived quickly and was easy to set up and get started. The chrome finish looks modern and fresh in our kitchen.

Sturdy, efficient machine
I absolutely love my dehydrator and have literally not turned it off, I've made crackers at a fraction of the price of raw store brought one's and they are so delicious, I've made beautiful cookies and fruit and vegetable chips. I make nut cheeses and this dries them out perfectly, today I'll make raw bread. I got the dehydrator after going raw diet and it has upped my game tremendously. I might invest in a second one next year when funds allow. The sturdiness of the machine is phenomenal I can't recommend it enough.

A neat simple to use machine producing great results
Thought I would try this out as I had attempted to make a load (20+ jars) of jam, but it didn't set, so I needed to find something to do with it, other than throw it out. It's simple to set up and use, though if you want to do as I did and use a failed jam or something of a similar consistency, then purchase some silicon mesh sheets to go over the stainless steel shelves. They stopped much of the syrupy liquid dripping through - and it's all syrup & juice that has the flavour. I just plugged it in, flicked the switch on the side of the machine to turn it on, set the temperature to 70° and time to 5 hours (you can always add more time if you need more) and waited. So my first batch was a success. A sweet but tart mix of berries and cherries ex-jam, turned into several 2kg's of yummy fruit leather, that probably won't last as long as the jam would have, but is easier and a little bit healthier to eat.I spooned my mix onto silicon mesh that I had already placed on the steel racks & smoothed the mix out to the depth of 10mm. It is quite a messy process as some of the juice leaks through the bottom as you're spreading the mix out, so a large silicon mat placed on the kitchen side, made cleanup so much easier.I think I'm hooked, there are so many things you can dehydrate or turn into leather and jerky.

Reasonably well built
Quite a well built product but after taking well to long to dehydrate different foods I placed a tempriture probe inside the unit I found the actual temp was 15 degrees C less than the unit said at 70 C it was actually 55 C. Dangerous if you are dehydrating meat. I had to throw some jerky away.

Large machine means more drying options
At first this dehydrator seems really big and it can be hard to find a place to put it due to its depth (this is necessary to enclose the fan and heating element without compromising on space for the goods you want to dehydrate). We bought it to make Chinese charcuterie so it's handy to have the large space for hanging the meats but the ten trays will come in useful to preserve any excess harvest from the garden. It's very easy to operate, just set the temperature and time and it'll start automatically, and there's also an on/off power switch on the back. Some reviewers state it's noisy but it's no louder than my fan oven and much quieter than my microwave - the steel casing is quite thin so it can vibrate a bit during use so make sure you place it on a firm and stable surface. The thin steel also means the unit exterior can get quite hot during use. You can email Kwasyo for the registration form for lifetime warranty.
