OROROMen's Heated Jacket with Battery, Heated Coat with Detachable Hood (Charger Not Included)

Generally speaking I don't prefer to order clothing online. I like to see the material in person, feel it, try it on and see how it hangs and make sure that it doesn't restrict my movement. A jacket is something you should be able to put on and really not think twice about it.Now, as I get older, I have to say that I hate the cold weather more and more. My wife and kids run the other way when I come in from cold weather because my hands and feet are often ice-cold to the touch. (In fact, it is quite fun to corner my youngest son and place my cold hands on him and listen to him playfully scream about my cold hands).Also, I ride a motorcycle on occasion and have heated clothing that I plug into my motorcycle battery to keep me warm while riding in cooler weather. So, wouldn't it make sense to have something that I could use in a similar fashion when I am out and about and it is cold outside? After reading many reviews about different heated jackets here on Amazon I was impressed by the ORORO model and it's offerings. I decided to give it a shot.Now, recently, I had lost 25 pounds (yea!) and some of my clothing sizes were now falling between Large and Medium sizes. Based on the chart provided I decided to get the MEDIUM size in this jacket. My mistake. When I received the jacket and tried it on it was too snug through the armpits. I contacted the seller through Amazon and they promptly offered me a refund or exchange for another size. I chose an exchange for a LARGE model.Here's where their great customer service came into play. Due to a problem with their supplier, some of the materials they needed didn't arrive in a timely manner. This delayed the delivery of the new jacket. They kept me informed via email of the delays, offered again to give me a refund if I didn't want to wait, and were generally very proactive. Since I had sampled the jacket already, and since I admired the construction and materials I decided to wait. When my jacket was ready to ship they even threw in a free pair of soccer socks to thank me for my patience.Now I have the jacket and it is terrific! Even without activating the heat unit it is quite warm and very good at blocking the wind. The jacket offers a 5 minute pre-heat option and three levels of heat. The lighted emblem on the breast lets me know if my battery is still charged and functioning. It is quite comfortable, the hood is very helpful when needed and the heating units work well. The bulk of the heat is applied to the back of the jacket - so don't think that you will be wrapped from head to waist with heating elements all around you.It works surprisingly well. I have taken our dog out for walks in the wind and cold and actually looked forward to the experience instead of experiencing the dread of cold seeping in at various openings. It is well made, thin and convenient, and totally a winner. I highly recommend this jacket.

Label indicates, "with approved chemicals"]* the sizing is fitting! [this can be difficult to create a size for the variety of body sizes]* Pockets that are secured with YKK zippers!* the dye is important! ENSURE TO USE DYES THAT HAVE BEEN DERIVED FROM PLANTS [ECOLOGICAL]. Artificial color synthetically made in laboratories damage the skin with "micro tears;" being amplified with moisture. The skin is our defense to the world. Pigments derived from plants are sustainable.* the battery pack that is slim came charged, & is inserted into a pocket inside the jacket that is directly to the side if the body so there is no interference when moving! [PLUS!]* the temperature when highest is warm in the chest and back! Jacket in use in temperatures freezing, & below.* came with charger however is using older technology, USB A instead of the universal USB C.* the YKK zippers are nice for SAFTEY, knowing I may be able to remove in an emergency [Fire].UPDATE: I had spoke with Mike in ORORO of a size change & the jacket sent over!

This jacket is of fantastic quality and looks so good on. I was sceptical of how it would ‘wash up’ but it easy to wash and turned out perfect. The different heat settings are fantastic as the highest setting does get very warm.

LOVE IT xoxoxox ! need one size larger when ordering

I was nervous about the sizing of this jacket so I read of TON of reviews and was really surprised at the negativity of some. This is my 6th Ororo wear item and I LOVE them. The quality is GREAT for what you are paying. The fit can be a little strange which is why I was reading all the reviews. The Jacket is great. It's NOT the heaviest - but with the heating options in it - I was warm in my car today at -35C. I got a Large Mens - I am 5 foot 7" - 170lbs - The large fits loose so I can add a layer - the sleeves are a touch long - which is great. I have a Hoodie in Medium and it's a little too short and the sleeves are ridiculously too short. I also have the Vest mens - Large - and it's great - I am on number 2 - vest - first one I wore daily for at least 10 months of the year - they start to wear out and the wires went on the first... I'm ok with that - I used them daily and things don't last forever. Only ONE of my batteries gave up the ghost after several years of use - so again - Wear and tear - I'm ok with that! For the cost or ORORO products I am happy that I get a good year of heavy use out of them. I think they are very cost effective and I love my battery heated life!
