More for less - Awesome!
When I first started hiking, my first poles were aluminum as they were what I could afford. When my hikes got more serious, I sprung for the better composite fibre poles from REI, which felt much better.I needed another set and cautiously ordered these Starlight Mountain poles. I say "cautiously", because they seemed too good to be true, i.e., they say they're built like the expensive REI poles, but are priced like the aluminum poles. Well I received them the other day and am happy to report that the description is true! These babies look and feel as good or better than the REI poles, but I got them for only $44.00! (Prime Day) Woo hoo!I now know what I'm getting for my hiking friends and family for Christmas!

Great trekking poles
Poles arrived quickly and were just as described! These really are great poles! I was worried because the price was a third the cost of other comparable poles, but these are high quality and have lots of great features. They are lightweight, the cork handles are super comfortable and I appreciate the extra tips that are included. The poles are super easy to adjust and have measurement markings on the pole so you can set them to the same height easily. THANK YOU for a great product!

Not Shock Absorbing
These seem to be well built; however, they are advertised as "shock absorbing" (usually meaning with springs for shock absorbing), but these are NOT shock absorbing. That was one of the main reasons I ordered them.

I love these poles! They have saved my back and joints
I was training to run a marathon when my legs started to go numb. MRI results showed severe neural foraminal stenosis. I tried to speed walk instead but my condition just grew worse to the point where I was having trouble lifting my leg to go up small bridges. I started walking with these trekking poles and am now walking 4-6 miles at a 13-14 minute per mile pace with no pain or back issues! They make a huge difference on my back and I would not walk without them now. Using the poles also works my upper body. I bought a second pair for my mom. I think everyone should use these is they have joint or back issues regardless of their fitness level. The marathon is out but I plan to continue to train for triathlons using these poles. My only complaint is the rubber fitting on the feet has worn out after 3 weeks (I use them 10-12 miles/week) and the additional ones it came with are too heavy.

Good quality adjustable poles- Wife uses them as she has ...
Arrived fast--just as described. Good quality adjustable poles- Wife uses them as she has a little vertigo going on now. Walks 5-8 miles a day--they help keep her vertical on those long walks. A real life saver--Comes with attachments for different kinds of terrain. Nice stuff

Extremely lightweight!
Very lightweight as described. Easy to lengthen and lock into place. Really like the cork handgrips. My only issue is the poles don't align at the same number line and I do have both arms at right angles. However that does not effect walking.

Hiked up Mt. Kilimanjaro on these
I used these walking poles every minute on my 7 day hike up Mt. Kilimanjaro. They are strong and stood up to my aggressive use. I can honestly say without these poles my legs and knees would give away on day 1. With these poles both uphill and down hill hikes are so much easier as they helped support the weight. I successfully summited and came down Mt. Kilimanjaro with no knee or leg muscles pains. Thank you.

Pretty great poles
Great trekking poles with lots of accessories. The grips feel really nice. I have two complaints though. First, these do not weigh 6.8 oz each. They weigh 7 oz each, with all the accesstories removed, including the tip covers. Not a huge deal, but they should advertise what they really weigh instead of inaccurate weights . Second issue I have is that the wrist straps don't get tight enough around my wrists. Even after tightening them fully they are still pretty lose around my wrists. Other than these two issues, the poles are great!
