ASICS Women's Metrolyte GEM Walking Shoes

Love these sneaks.... They are cute and extremely comfortable right out of the box. I have walked 4-6 miles a day in these with no problems. Will definitely order again. Do take heed of other comments about leaving them in a hot car --- do not do if you love them as much as I do.Update: November 28,2016Have worn these shoes a lot since my purchase last spring. I still love them and have increased the rating to 5 stars. They are extremely comfy, true to size, and still look cute after walking and hiking in them all these months. My orthotics do make my foot ride high in the shoe so I don't use them in these shoes but have not had trouble with arch support etc. I'm getting ready to buy a second pair out of concern that they will be discontinued.

They are not large for a size 8... They are large to me compared to other reviewers who warned to SIZE UP. I should have gotten my 7.5.Other than that... They are cute but to minimalist for me. I need more support and structure. I walk a couple miles a day in my ASICS gel cross trainers and cannot do so in comfort with these cute little guys. 😣UPDATE:After wearing these all summer to numerous events which involve hot weather and lots of walking I AM SOLD! After a four county horse show, county fair, and a state fair I can tell you that I wouldn't trade these. They might not have quite the support, but the flip side of that is THE breathable comfort of this shoe. I'm buying more. I've machine washed them many times and they need replacement. 💓 them.

I didn't realize these were a slip-on shoe. I should have read the comments and ordered a half size bigger but I have still been wearing them. I have a wide foot so these are a bit narrow especially since they are a half size too small. They are quite comfortable even though they are small. They don't look like they would have arch support but they do have moderate arch support. They are a nice lightweight shoe to wear around the house or for a casual day on your feet. Definitely not a shoe for any type of real fitness. I did wear these all day on vacation walking all over Japan and they were surprisingly quite comfortable even though they were too small. I was pleasantly surprised!

I love these shoes! I have the purple gem design and the gray/teal gem design. I can't speak for their longevity, since I've only had them a few weeks, but they are very comfortable. I like the minimalist feel (not a lot of support, just cushy foam) and how bendable they are. I recently had knee surgery and am stuck with a big brace and crutches. These shoes have been great -- easy to slip on, not heavy or clunky, lightweight. I've had several compliments on these shoes. I'd like to get another pair in a solid color, but I don't think I'd pay full price. Both of my pairs were purchased for less than $30.

I was super excited to get these shoes because of the price, colors, brand, and design, but then I tried them on and was very disappointed. They were too narrow and tight on my feet. I had to take them off after 5 minutes because they were pinching my feet and starting to hurt. I think I have normal feet because I don't usually have to buy shoes marked wide.I thought about returning them for a 1/2 size larger, but ultimately chose not to because of the narrow fit of the shoe. I also didn't understand why the shoes have laces on them because you slip them on your feet.

So, I was walking about 5 miles average around campus twice a week, and I couldn't wear any comfortable/cute shoes without limping by the end of the day (blisters, foot cramps, etc). When I found these, I was desperate, but honestly it was the best decision ever! I wear them all the time, to school and work, all day, with or without socks! They are amazing and support my arches, which is make or break thing for me. For college students, people who walk for work all day, BUY THESE SHOES! You will not regret it!

Great shoes! These shoes are super lightweight and feel great on my feet. I know I could walk in them all day. I wasn't quite sure of my answer on arch support. It is fair but is perfect for what I expect of these shoes since they have more of a minimalist profile. I love the color (I'm a purple freak) and it is true to the picture. Very comfortable and feel good on my feet! I mainly use them for daily wear and walking.

The shoe is comfortable for an all day around the house or out with friends, but it's not a true walking-shoe. NO arch support, no ankle support. One cannot use an insert because you wouldn't be able to get your foot in it (comfortably) unless you get a size larger than you usually wear.I wear a size 7 medium. The shoe fits snug, which I like, but I can't wear socks with it; which I kind-of like except if I want to wear these shoes on cooler days. I gave it 3 stars because it should be advertised that it is a snug-fitting shoe. But, I like the shoe. I wouldn't order it again or another like it.
