These bowls will suit the purpose but you get what you paid for... they feel like a mixture of plastic and melamine combined. The surface coating is dull not shiny and glass-like Correlle. I remember the first time I dropped a Correlle soup dish I held my breath as they are so glass-like I waited to hear the shatter. It didn't. If you clack the bowls together they don't sound glass-like, maybe the Chinese have come up with a new material with melamine and plastic mixed together? I will keep them but one day I will fork over the higher cost for a Correlle.

My wife love it. She always want it some of this kind of soup spoon. One flaw for my wife is that she want the curve at the hanging end to be longer. So if she is using it in a thicker bowl it would still hang and not slip. Other than that hanging part being a little longer she would be completely satisfy. She still love them and uses them frequently.

I was so excited to get these bowls, because they have great reviews. After replacing countless glass bowls after they'd been broken by 4 clumsy kids, I was looking forward to having something that would last. At first, they were great! Microwave and dishwasher safe, stylish. Then I started pulling them out of the dishwasher and finding cracks in them. They weren't dropped on the floor or anything. Just washed. I went from having 6 of these bowls, to only having 2 in just a couple of months.

Great bowls....until the dishwasher cracked them. Top rack and they cracked. I was so disappointed! I love these for soup and cereal. Perfect size for both.

Small, need to put paper between them in the cabinet or they fit tightly into each other and they’re hard to separateVery pretty

Purchased this bowl set as a gift. I read some of the negative reviews about them being broke during shipping but then there was some good reviews, also. Well, my review falls under the broken ones during shipping. If they break like this during shipping can you image what a dishwasher or microwave would do to them? Or even worse, could you imagine eating out of one?!?!

We really liked the color. But, as senior citizens we were looking for bowls that were light weight and these are. Good size also, not the small ones some stores sell. We bought 12 allowing for some breakage but the same would be true if we bought regular bowls. These wash really easy. We were also impressed with how well they were packaged as to avoid any breakage.

I have been looking all over for Oriental soup spoons and these are the best. Just like in the restaurants and sturdy.
