A nice solid brass pen
I was looking for a metal pen with a ruler etched in (rather than painted) so it wouldn’t wear off, and this does the trick. It’s fairly heavy pen, as can be expected with full brass construction.Weight: With cap: 44g/1.5ozWithout cap: 36g/1.3ozThe cap does not post. But since the pen is a hexagon, you don’t have to worry about it rolling away, either. The pen consists of three solid metal pieces: the body, the tip, and the cap. They fit together well, and when the cap is screwed on you can barely see the seam. You do have to twist pretty tightly, but when all the way on, the sides do line up on my pen.Feels solid, writes well with a decent black gel ink, all around good pen.Minor issues:-The threads are long, so it takes a while to unscrew and screw the cap back on.-The edges of the pen are fairly sharp, so it isn’t the most comfortable to hold. (You could probably go at it with sandpaper if this is something that would bother you.)-If holding the pen for a while, your hands will start to get a metallic smell, as is usual with brass.-It’s a little on the heavy side for me to use for long. However, I bought it more for quick notes, so this isn’t a real issue.-Does not take standard refills. However, I was able to slot in the refill from an old Office Max gel pen by adding a small piece of plastic tubing as a spacer, so I suspect there may be other slim gel refills that will work. (Ones like the Pilot G2 and Zebra Sarasa definitely do not, though, as they’re too wide.)But none of these are truly an issue for me, and most were expected, so I am pleased with my purchase.

I don't care about it's usability as a pen
I bought this because I needed something metal that would fit in my hand to hold. If thats what you are looking for, this is it! It has a nice hefty weight, the metal warms nicely in my hand, and it has an amazing twisty top that I was not expecting! The corners feel good on my thumb, not too sharp. It has a fun ruler on the side. It works as a clunky stylus for my phone, and heck, if you ever need to write a check, you'll actually have a pen in your pocket! So if you're looking for something the approximate size, shape and feel of a vape pen, this is it! 100% $12 well spent

Solid weight, exactly as pictured - not as functional as I would have liked
I really like the look of it and enjoy writing with it - solid weight and good ergonomics. The negative is just about the cap which needs like a lot more rotations than I'd went to unscrew and then you've got to put it somewhere since it won't cap on the end.It just felt goofy using it in front of others and the gold looks a bit pretentious already. Takes a full 10-20s of you taking it out & unscrewing the thing & putting the cap somewhere.

Great pen for the price!
This pen is very reliable and writes very smoothly. One important thing to note is that it does not take standard refills. It takes a Chinese brand M+G gel ink. The refills can be bought on ebay for $9 for a 20 pk box. The refills are actually very good and can be compared to Pilot or Pentel.

nice pen, but the lid is annoyingly impractical
I'm really conflicted on this pen.It writes very well, it's solid, nice looking, well made, increments seem accurate, BUT you have to twist the cap 7 full revolutions to take it off or put it back on. It takes about 5-6 seconds each way, which gets annoying because the cap doesn't stick anywhere so you have to hold it while you're writing or set it down and risk losing it. When you're done writing you put the lid back on because you don't want to lose it and then you repeat the process. I end up screwing/unscrewing the dang thing over and over.I bought it because it seemed like it would be handy for field botany but I think I'll be using it strictly as a ruler because using it as a pen is a pain unless you're sitting at your desk.

Great EDC Pen
Great EDC pen. Easy to use, great weight. Easy to change out ink cartridges. Love the look and patina it builds.

Does not come with a ruler, the pen is the ruler
I thought from the photos there would be a ruler... The package only comes with the case, the pen, a refill, and the cap.
