The Salter 1170 BKDR electronic scales feel a much better quality than the low cost suggests. I paid £13.50. Shiny black glass top and easy read/clear LCD. Most significant to me is touch sensitive buttons. My last scales had click membrane switches and the plastic gave up and became unreliable. With touch sensitive buttons there are no moving parts to fail. Other than that all of the usual features g, oz, fl oz, ml and zeroise. There’s nothing not to like.

I wasn't sure whether I was going to like these scales when I first got them as the buttons for changing weights etc. are on the front slightly underneath the top of the scales but once I'd used them a couple of times have found them excellent. They're lightweight, take up no room to store and are easy to clean.

No instructions but easy to work out. Nice to be able to weigh all ingredient in same bowl, by resetting to zero for each item

Neat little scales ,I like that you can use your own bowls on the scales and add extra ingredients in the same bowl by just zeroing the scales

This is my review of the Salter 1170 BKDR Electronic Kitchen Scale purchased in July 2024.How well they work - good points:Very Accurate - I have been using these scales for a week or so and have found them to be accurate. Additionally I tested this using a measuring jug and placed it onto the scales and zeroed the reading then added 500ml of water to the jug and returned the jug to the scales to obtain a reading of 498ml. Certainly accurate enough for kitchen scales.Good looking - I like the black/glass top finish.the only negative:I wish that they were slimmer. They stand 19mm high from the work-surface, they have more height than my previous scales which stood 13mm tall.

Fonctionne très bien, autonomie des piles limitée

Die erste Waage hielt mehrere Jahre, bis dass das Kind sie versehentlich fallen ließ. Weil wir das Design und Funktionalität so gemocht haben, waren wir sehr glücklich darüber, dass wir immer noch dieselbe Waage bestellen konnten.

Depuis quelques temps mon épouse cherchait une balance de cuisine pour remplacer l'ancienne de plusieurs décennies et à la précision douteuse. Mais tous les modèles qu'elle avait vu lui déplaisaient. Elle est très exigeante quant à l'harmonie des ustensiles de cuisine dans une cuisine moderne avec plan en granit.C'est donc un peu inquiet que j'ai commandé cette balance.Et, oh surprise, elle lui a plus. Rien que ça, ça mérite les 5 étoiles.Le dessus est une unique plaque de verre facile à nettoyer, sans recoin ni aspérité où se cachent les poussières.Une languette protège les piles et on n'a qu' la tirer pour allumer la balance.Elle permet les pesées multiples avec remise à zéro entre chaque et la sélection de l'unité, livre, gramme ou volume.S'il fallait chercher un tout petit point négatif, c'est que le plateau de verre noir marque, laissant voir les traces de doigts.Quant au rapport qualité prix, dificile à dire car elle est actuellement indisponible. Un modèle équivalent au design un peu différent est proposé à 23.66 € chez Amazon. Je pense qu'il s'agit là d'un bon prix à ne pas dépasser.En conclusion, achat intéressant qu'on ne devrait pas regretter.
