This is a truly beautiful cane. I’ve never seen another like it.But, there were problems:First: The head of the cane was not permanently attached. It was stuck on with a peg. It was not glued or otherwise attached. The fit was poor so that in use the bottom would separate and fall off as I walked making it basically useless. I cured that by having a friend skilled with wood glue the head to the shaft.Second: It is made of soft wood. That’s a big mistake. In use it bowed slightly. when I put my weight on it. This is not bad enough to prevent use. But still ....Third: I leaned the cane against a cabinet to free my hands to wash them. The cane slipped and fell to the floor and broke. The head just broke into two pieces. This sort of thing happens with wood. But in my mind, it indicates a poor selection of wood.I’m returning this cane for another like it. I am hoping the wood will be better on the new one. If not, if the replacement breaks in the same place, I will ask my friend to put a steel rod in the handle.In sum I would say this cane is so beautiful it is worth dealing with it’s problems.

My elderly Mother recently hurt her hip and was being very stubborn about getting something to help her walk, even though she was in a lot of pain. She finally conceded that she needed something, but was adamant that it be a wooden cane, not plastic. I searched and came across this one, and let me tell you, its absolutely gorgeous. Its everything my Mom wanted, its wood grain, sturdy, has beautiful carvings, and is an all-around conversation piece. She loves it! I highly recommend buying this cane!!

I like this cane. The craftmanship is what you might call rustic, but it has a certain charm. Sturdy and good in the hand, it's fine for strolls in the country with the dog, and will even elicit some complements for unusual appearance. Get something a little more refined to go with the dinner jacket though.

It’s a very pretty cane. Mine came intact and seems solid. It has many seams switching between woods and metal ring. If joints come lose .. glue would work. I don’t think this is a cane to just throw around. Has some fragile areas especially in fox carving. I’m very happy with it. It’s light but seems solid and helps a lot with up and downs and stairs.

Piece of crap! It broke after only 4 months with VERY light use! Won't ever buy again. I'm sending the pieces back!

I am very happy with my purchase!! My cane is beautiful and unique. I get many compliments and it is definitely a conversation piece. I’ve searched and searched for a walking stick/cane that fits me and my personality and I finally found one that does!

It is a beautifully made item and I love it.
