The media could not be loaded. Very good option for a teen boy with curly hair, nice smell, good texture, no skin irritation. It helps with oily hair, they stay clean longer. My boy likes it.I read through the contents and seems like this product doesn’t have any sulfates or parabens.

The media could not be loaded. The first thing I noticed is the smell! It’s smells so good! It works well on oily scalp and leaves hair soft, you almost don’t need conditioner but I use that too! Will buy again!

Sometimes a shampoo's abilities can depend on several factors--frequency of use, different individual's responses (some may respond quicker or better than others) and severity of the condition. Just because you mature from a kid to a teen to an adult doesn't always mean your skin and/or hair mature out of the oily phase. Genetics and hormones kind of play into it as well and sometimes something "more" than shampoo is needed to help control the oil too. Shampoo just works on the outside at clearing away surface oiliness but not on the hormones that can trigger oiliness. Anyway, this "mom" decided to give this shampoo a try for oily hair as well since it is both sulfate and paraben-free. Some shampoos meant for oily and even normal hair are too harsh or contain SLS (sulfates) to make them suds up more to clear away oil. Instead this shampoo contains nettle, a natural ingredient, that can help with sebum (oil) and oily flakes. Nettle can help promote healthy hair and is good for even "normal" hair too. Nettle is sometimes an ingredient in botanical or herbal shampoos. The shampoo does have a slight fragrance but not a strong medicinal odor. It did an okay job and left my hair a little better feeling than some other shampoos I used--no residue, irritation or weighted down feeling. Probably one of the other positives is the "cost", it was a lot more reasonable than some pricey high-end shampoos that you are paying for the "name brand" or packaging and contain dyes, etc. However, if shampoo alone can't always control oiliness triggered by hormones it sometimes helps to consult a dermatologist. Don't let a teen's self-esteem suffer with embarrassing oiliness, I finally had to take my son to a dermatologist to get medication for his excessive oily skin and hair. Thus the reason for a "4" star, while it helped my slight oiliness-excessively oilier heads may need extra help. I don't know if this review will even get read but I hope at least some info helps.

Admittedly, I am pretty inconsistent about leaving reviews. This time, I am taking the time to write this. I take care of my two grandsons. Take them to school, pick them up, and so as to help my daughter, I bathe them.The boys are 8 and 11 1/2. For the past few months, the 11 1/2 year old boy has had a stinky scalp. Obviously, he is starting to go through puberty. Baby shampoo didn’t work, adult shampoo didn’t work, even after two and three scrubbing’s. The only thing that was working well was clarifying shampoo. However , this is too hard on the hair.I took a chance and bought this and to my surprise, it works wonderfully! It is not harsh to the hair, smells nice, not too feminine or flowery. It has more of a woodsy, pleasant fragrance to it.Now, depending on how sweaty he has gotten during the day, I may only have to scrub his scalp one time.This stuff is amazing. I truly didn’t expect it to work well but I took a chance, and I am so glad that I did. I highly recommend this for preteens or teens that have stinky scalp. You know these hormones are going crazy and we don’t want anybody, especially other kids, telling our kids that they stink. Give it a try, you’ll be happy.

This is a must in our home for teen girls. Beautiful hair now! No more greasy strands.

I’ve used this twice and it left my hair flat and not clean feeling at all. Although it makes your hair smell Awesome, it definitely doesn’t help the oily hair problem. I have to shampoo more frequently than I normally do.

I've looked for a shampoo that our family can use on teen special needs boys, as they growing, their hair retains alot of oul which make their hair look dirty. This shampoo is wonderful! The shampoo suds, cleans, rinses very well & it does not burn their eyes! Their hair is so nice and shiny and stays like that all day. This was my second purchase and will continue to order. Thank you TBH!!
