SOG Medic: Stories from Vietnam and Over the Fence Hardcover – October 12, 2018

I appreciate the writers service to our country, so I am giving him four stars. SOG was the most dangerous mission in VN and the the men who ran recon were professionals. The writers year in VN focused more on the adventure rather than the combat.

It gives a person a personal view of what it takes to support those in need. Support is always been in my experience a lack of interest to anyone who just reads about the main job. Example a person who saves people gets all the hurrah, but what happens to those who were saved when aid is needed,that's when the support comes in. Is it recognized ? Not often in my experience.

One man's experience as a special forces medic. If you've been in the service much will seem familiar the exception being the combat . In this Joe Palmar' s story rises above the norm and makes this a worthwhile read

The account of the authors's experience in Vietnam as a Special Forces Medic was riveting and inspiring as well as realistic for a war time setting. I really appreciate what these men did in spite of Communist efforts to spread propaganda about our Military men and our Country.

Not bad

i've read many Vietnam books. this is a good one. it really gives a peek into what it was like. the war was different all depending on what you did. being a Sog medic is a really interesting take on the war. and a look into what it was like for those who were fighting the secret war inside the triangle.

Thank you Joe for the vivid, heroic journey of your SF 91B4S service . As a former SF Aidman 1966-67 in VN I relived some of my own memories with those of yours.
