Flipstick Foldaway Walking Stick / Seat Cane (Green w/ Green Bag)

After hip replacement surgery, I was reluctant to get too far from a place to pause to let the pain subside. Though I can now walk without a cane, the problem persisted. I bought this walking stick/seat in desperation. It works beautifully for my purposes. It weighs no more than a similar cane, the seat flips into place instantly when needed and provides all the support I need to recover and move on. I weigh ~250 pounds and it handles that much weight easily.The only caveat would be for a person with more serious balance problems. If they needed a cane for stability while standing, the transition from sitting on the cane/seat and standing, flipping the seat back to vertical and resuming use as a cane might prove problematic.

Way too short for walking support! Did good for temperary seat .i think my money could have been better used on something else.

I chose this item because it said it was lightweight. It was a little heavier than I expected. Most of all it was not adjustable and I am too short for it to be comfortable for me to use. It is a great idea but just did not work for me. I am sending it back.

While this product may work well for those needing a temporary place to sit, it didn't work if you have bad knees. Making the "tripod" of the stick and your legs requires pressure on knees that isn't confortable. If you're using just as a cane, I suppose it's OK but a regular cane can do that job.

My husband tries to walk, but he gets tired easily. This cane has been great because he can stop and rest. The seat isn't comfortable to sit on for long, but it is lightweight, easy to use, and is just what he needed.;

Based on info from earlier reveiws,I made the decision to invest in two Flipsticks for our travel group. Best thing I ever did! Unfortunately, I couldn't get my Stick back, because everybody else I my group wanted to use it. Everybody in my group thought it was the silliest thing they saw, until they tried it out! Thanks "Flipstick"!!!

Incredible cane/seat. I think I could have sold a thousand of them, as so many people seeing it and understanding it's usefulness and value commented on it.It has been extremely helpful in traveling,allowing me to have access to a cane whenever I need it.

Works exactly as described. Good construction. I'm a six foot man and I wished the cane was one inch longer
