This 316L Surgical Stainless Steel captive ring is available in 20 gauge, 18 gauge, 16 gauge, 14 gauge and in 1/4 inch (6mm), 5/16 inch (8mm), 3/8 inch (10mm), 1/2 inch (12mm) or 5/8 inch (16mm) inner diameters. Inner diameter is measured in a straight line across the inside of the ring. The 1/4 inch, 5/16 inch and 3/8 inch captive bead rings will have a 5/32 inch (4mm) diameter captive ball. The 1/2 inch and 5/8 inch captive bead rings will have a 1/4 inch (6mm) diameter captive ball. Captive rings are also known as BCR ball closure rings. The ball is held in by pressure and hoop must be opened slightly to get ball out. Some of the heavier gauge captive rings (14 gauge and higher) may require captive ring opening pliers to open them and remove the ball. These do not work like regular earrings and they can be tricky to use. This item is suitable for 20 gauge earrings, 18 gauge earrings, 16 gauge earrings, captive bead hoop earrings, helix piercings, tragus hoops, conch piercings, eyebrow piercings, belly hoops and nipple rings. Not intended for use by children under the age of 14.

Super cute and perfect for my tragus
Super cute and perfect for my tragus! I have had one of these captive rings in my tragus for almost a year now and it hasn't budged. If you plan on putting it in yourself and are new to captive rings, I'd recommend ordering a set of small ring closer pliers and a ring opener so that it isn't such a hassle to put in and remove.

too small but great quality
Their super cute. But came totally too small and I can't even wear them. Super bummed! Wish I could say I love them, if I could wear them. Lol. But nice jewelry, and was fast delivery!

great color
The color is amazing! Love the teal bead. This is super small (as described). I don't think I can get it in myself, so I would have to go to a piercer. I have my helix pierced. This would be perfect for a tragus though. I am still hoping it will fit my helix, but haven't gotten to a piercer yet. CBRs are always a challenge to get in by yourself!

Bad Customer Service
Impossible to get in. Unless you know everything about piercings, every style of the jewelry, etc. (take a class) be careful when you order. If you get something you THOUGHT you ordered but didn't, you will not be compensated or able to return the item, even if you didn't put them in.

Nice captive ring, pretty gem!
I bought this for my nose and I love it. The bead color is very bring and full. The bead was pretty easy to get out and a little hard to get back in but it doesn't seem like it will fall out ever. If you have having a hard time with the bead maybe get a captive ring opener.

very disappointed
This was an utter waste of money. Thank you for telling me that I would buy this and be excited to use it and the ball is crap that wolnt go back on. Im completely disappointed with this product and it was not worth buying. Im only giving it one star because it made me give it a star to continue. Honestly it deserves -3 stars.
