DynomaxUltra Flo 17263 Exhaust Muffler for Jeep Wrangler

The media could not be loaded. This muffler sounds great. I installed it on a 2015 Wrangler JKU. Very low, bassy sound at idle, mid-throttle sounds OKAY, and nice wail up top. Nearly silent at cruising speed. Reciprocating saw or portable band saw (band saw gives a much cleaner cut line)4. Some Wd-40 or PB BlasterFirst, remove the stock muffler, aka "the full diaper," it's just one bolt, pull the two hangers out, and some twisting (this is where the Wd-40 comes in handy). Next, measure the length of the new muffler (just the body portion), this one was around 16.5" or so. Make cut marks around the resonator, roughly .5" longer than the measurement of the body (to give you a little play when you sleeve the pipes). Cut the resonator out and sleeve the new muffler into the freshly cut ends of the pipes. Wrap each end with the band clamps, tighten them down and yer done!The stock pipes themselves work great, when you take the original muffler off, you'll see the pipes dump out just after the rear axle, which is a great spot.The whole process will take 20-30 minutes (or longer if the old muffler fights you), and there's no need to remove or lower the exhaust to do the swap.Note on Expectations: It's not going to sound like a V8, but it'll sound MUCH better than the stock muffler—plus, you'll actually be able to hear the exhaust, a key if you drive a manual.I give the new sound a solid 6.5/10, vs the stock sound of 1/10.Have fun!

I installed this in my 2012 Jeep two door Wrangler JK. I replaced the resonator with this muffler and removed the rear stock OEM muffler completely. The goal was to improve the sound while removing the heavy, unsightly rear muffler. I left the exhaust pipe that originally connected to the rear muffler and attached it to the Dynomax muffler. This allowed the exhaust to go over the rear axle and then dump out just before the rear bumper while remaining high and tucked out of the way. On the two doors, there is only just enough room for this muffler. If you have a four door then there would be plenty of room to even add an additional resonator if you want to tone down the sound a little more.I feel like the sound is much better, especially on start-up and low rpms. It gives a nice rumble without being too loud. My opinion may be slightly skewed because I drove the Jeep for a week with just the rear muffler removed before installing this and it was obnoxiously loud. My wife still thinks it is a little loud. I think what impressed me most was that while it rumbles on start-up and low gears, the sound is not really noticeable at highway speeds. I have been driving it for a week with no top and no doors and I am getting no "droning" sound at highway speeds even with no resonator.I had this muffler welded on by a local muffler shop and the guys there were amazed. They said it was the best sounding JK that they had heard. After driving it for about a week now and comparing it to other Jeeps, I would have to agree. I get a huge smile on my face every time I start it up. Looks great and not to loud at all.

I was hoping for a deeper sound. I guess the lame 6 cylinder in a 2008 Wrangler just can't make this thing hum. Not the fault of the Dynomax but I'd stay away if you what a more muscular sound out of a Jeep JK.

I have this installed as part of the Dynomax rock crawler exhaust on my 2013 Jeep JKU .. the fit of it was fine, the sound is horrible, my Jeep now sounds like a ricer. No low rumble, it's a high pitched fart can. Looking at options to replace it asap.

Worked great and good fit. A little louder than expected but doesn’t have any exhaust drone .Installed on a 2017 Wrangler Rubicon

I didn't like using the steel banded couplers you have to buy to install it on my jeep jk. I ended up welding it in place for a rock solid installed so no rattle would occur. Be aware of where you install it and think about where you will put it before you buy. It sounds deep and good on my jeep.

The media could not be loaded. This is the best sounding muffler that I've heard for a JK. I had the Pypes on before and it made the Jeep sound terrible. I'm 4 linked, so the muffler sits pretty much under the driver seat of my 2 dr and you can barely hear it at higher speeds. At lower speeds you do hear it, but it's not an obnoxious loud sound. I attached pics and video for anyone who is on the fence, do it, it's better sounding than any other JK I've wheeled with.
