They did have a strong plastic smell right out of the box but this went away after a few days. The instructions on how to safely get your dog comfortable with the shoes was extremely helpful. Our dog doesn't like her feet getting messed with and just make it difficult to do anything with her feet. They feel very durable and fit her feet perfectly once you figure out how tight to strap them so they aren't too tight but tight enough that they don't fall off. They work perfect for our 65 lbs (29.5 kg) dog. They seem thick and insulated. It lowers the amount of time we have to have at the front door with a towel for her feet by having these shoes.

These are good water shoes but you have to strap them on tightly or they will come off in the water. If your dog loves to go in the rocky waters during camping ,hikes and swimming these dog shoes are good to use.But I would also recommend not keeping them on for too long, take a break and let their paws breath, especially if its really hot outside. These were durable and helped protect my very active dogs paws from injury around the lake. I would recommend this product.

I purchased these boots as my dog is struggling to stand on tile floors as his paws are always sliding. These boot have a rubber sole but the rubber isn't sticky enough to grip the tile so we are back in the same place.The other problem I had was even if the boot was on tight, the boot would slide upside down. So it was now the top soft material on the tile and the rubber was on top. This definitely didn't work out.I ended up buying many door mat rugs and placed them in the spots where my dog will sleep. The rug prevent him from sliding and was able to get up.The boots on the dog were very awkward at first but within a few hours he walked around just fine. Its a great quality boot and probably great for other purposes but not on tile floors....Just wanted to share as many of our senior dogs are struggling with their hips and hind legs.

hello... love the shoes I purchased for my goldendoodle. He's allergic to grass so he has them on quite often they stay on very very well. if one turns over... only happened once I realized I had not put that particular boot on tighter than the others. He has a lot of hair but they protect him from the rain and so far with the little bit of snow we have gotten his feet are warm and dry. I have recommended to my friends who have dogs. I bought 3 other sets of different boots for him and had to return them either they were to big to small or wouldn't stay on his feet but with these particular boots I have no issues. happy dog happy mom!! Well worth the price which wasn't bad especially compared to others i purchasedI have no problems.

The orders arrived quickly and the boots came in excellent/new condition.We ended up ordering 3 pairs, sizes 7, 6 and 5, because we have two dogs - a 75# retriever and a 50# spaniel/retriever mix - and both have larger front paws than back paws. The retriever has size 7 front, size 6 back and the spaniel/retriever mix has size 6 front and size 5 back. The size chart is accurate, just make sure you pencil the pawprint on paper with the dog's full weight down, so the paw spreads out as it normally would in walking (easier said than done, but worth it to get the size right!). And if your dog has bigger front paws, you may need two sizes of boots (two measurements).We bought these especially for the larger dog for now, because she suddenly developed fall allergies and had bad sores (we suspect the grass). She has received the allergy shot, but we needed her sores to heal and stay protected from the grass. We use baby socks from the dollar store (to keep the boots clean from ointments, etc.).We love the design of these boots, they are very well thought out: the double, reflective straps help the boots stay on, but don't hit at the dew claws (like other boots we've purchased, where the friction causes sores), the flap/tongue in front makes them easy to put on and take off, the flannel material inside is so much better than nylon or rubber, and the rubber sole is flexible enough that the dogs can still feel the ground. Our dogs just let us put them on now and the one with the allergies will even sleep with them - bonus, she can't chew or lick her paws with them on. When we know there'll be more in/out like early morning and at dinner time, we leave them on. So far neither dog tries to take them off or chew at them. Not sure yet how long they'll last, but we would buy these again, because they are that easy to use and fit that well. We bought these for healing paws, but will definitely try them for winter when there's salt on the roads as well.We are very happy with these boots, they are the best we've found.

The media could not be loaded. These dog boots are excellent. We live in a heavy snow area (Barrie, ON) and these hold up great to snow, slush and general gross wet cold winter sidewalks. The double straps are great for keeping the boots on - I have not had one fall off yet. The double straps work so well be sure to not tighten them too much - made this mistake the first day of using them. The front of the boots are wide which is great for medium/large dogs. The bottoms also give good traction as my pups is able to go up and down on snowy hills. Overall a great purchase and you can't beat the price. Do follow the instructions on how to measure your pups paws - don't try to purchase these based on weight (for reference my dogs paws are 2.5 x 4 inches and I ordered a size 7).
