Fantastic watch for the money, it's really tough!!!
Upon receiving my watch in a timely manner, I took the watch out of the box, obtained the instructions which are hidden inside the watch stand it was sitting on/attached to, and set it up with no problems. The velcro strap fit nice. I have a large wrist and sometimes watches that I purchase barely fit. This watch would fit a 8.75 to a 9.00 inch wrist fairly easy. This watch has a green luminescent digital face and at some angles it is difficult to read in really dark light, but I had no trouble reading it under dim bedroom light. Of course you can't read any watch in the dark without pressing the night light button on the watch, duh!!! I have not been a big fan of digital watches until the mid to late 90's. Now I would not have anything else. This is a great everyday watch or work watch. It's tough, takes a pretty good lick and keeps on going too. The watch is somewhat quirky and harder to set than other digital watches, but it's not really worth complaining about. Anyone can set it, even me. It's also light weight and feels really good on after minor adjustments to the velcro strap. I liked this one so good I purchased another one to put up when I wear this one out, but I can already tell that this watch will last many years unless you take it off, set it on a tree stump, and smash it with a sledge hammer, and you can say that about any watch. I just want to say that I own 20 to 30 Casio digital watches and 4 Armitron digital watches (I'm a collector), and the Casio watches are absolutely no better than this watch. I give this watch 5-Stars easy. I purchased mine right here on good old Amazon.com.

Great watch, minor difference from the advertised image.
This is almost the exact same model watch I purchased and wore during basic training 13 years ago. I know these watches will take alot of abuse and last for many years. The only compliant I have is with the images shown, as they are a bit deceptive. The images shown have green tinted display which was the model I wanted. The watch I received has a grey backround display. It's not a major difference but it is a little disappointing.

Great watch for the price! Keeps accurate time!
I've had this watch for about a week now. I have an addiction for inexpensive digital watches, they are what I had back in the 80s and I still love them. I have seven other digital watches including two other Armitrons. This watch keeps the best time of any Armitron or Casio I have. It keeps time just as good as a $75 Timex Expedition which really surprised me. The watch is very light weight, the band is velcro but I find it comfortable to wear. I don't even know it's on my wrist. It has limited features but that's to be expected in this price point. I'm wearing this watch the most right now, it keeps great time and has that 80s look that I love.

This is great basic watch.
I have had three of these Armitrons and this is a great basic watch. I wear one as an EDW watch and I have worn it for work. I just purchased another one. Its easy to set and has everything you need. The strap is very comfortable. The face is very easy to read and the lume is bright. It's sufficiently waterproof to be both practical and durable. It will take a beating. Well worth a buy.

good basic watch
Every other year for Christmas I buy my husband a cheap watch. (well along with other stuff and he likes cheap watches, he does't have to worry about breaking them, if they break no big deal so don't judge me on this) He still likes to wear a watch and he has several requirements, it must be digital,(he likes to know the time to the minute even though he sets it 7 minutes fast) it must light up (because you never know when you might want to know the time in the middle of the night), it must be water resistant (I don't think that part of his arm has ever been clean since they invented water resistant watches, never takes it off ot shower) and it must have a velcro band ( buckle bands make you choose a hole and expandable bands trap hairs and that hurts). This one has all that. I was a little bit skeptical at first after reading the reviews about how much trouble people had setting the watch but I didn't tell my husband it was supposed to be hard (expecting an entertaining Christmas day with too much cussing and eventually the watch being thrown into the ocean) but he had no trouble setting it up (and this is a man that can't use a smart phone). He is brutal on watches and this one has held up beautifully, the watch is working fine but the velcro is starting to wear out so I will probably get him another one this year for Christmas, yes, I could just buy him a new watch band but I think he would have a harder time trying to change that out than setting a new watch. Oh wait, maybe he will just get a new watch band, gotta get the video camera ready in case something goes in the ocean :)

Wow.
Pros1. Waterproof and partially grease proof. I work in fast food, and have had to plunge my arms in greasy water almost every night. It doesn't cling to the watch which makes it fantastic.2. Original watch band is pretty sturdy, completely black.3. You can easily replace the watch band with another.Cons1. Watch pins are hard to remove, but it might be how I was doing it2. Watch pins are close to the watch itself, so thicker bands aren't an option.3. Light goes off fairly quickly4. In military time, the date is back wards. Day and then month.5. The buttons are hard to press with big fingers, so you may need to keep the watch off your wrist if setting an alarm or the watch in general.Overview, Easy to set except the buttons. A paracord band works, but you have to de-core it, otherwise it doesn't fit easily. The deciding factor on this watch, other than price, was the reviews about the battery and the watch staying underwater for ten days.Final word: Don't think. Buy.

It is what it says it is
For today's prices, its best bang for your buck. Does what it says and takes a beating and keeps on ticking. I weld, grind, etc... and it takes sparks, bangs, heat, and I haven't had a problem yet.
