DK Readers L3: LEGO Legends of Chima: Heroes' Quest Paperback – April 21, 2014

Quality book, graphic is pretty good. 6 yr old loved it.

This is a good book for a Lego Chima lover reader. All the tribes and the legendary beasts are in this one. This one is about how all the tribes have decided to put aside their differences in order to go on a quest to find the Legendary Beasts. It introduces a character from each of the tribes and some of the weapons or vehicles. Each section is about a page long 7-9 sentences usually. It's about 40 pages of text and pictures. This is definitely more advanced than an easy reader, it could work reading a page at a time for an early reader. I wouldn't use this as a read aloud in one sitting, but a few sections at a time would work. Aside from some of the names which might be difficult for some readers some of the words included are especially, powerful, penetrate, mysterious, responsible, and magically. There is the word "stupid" a few times, in referring to the bat and rhino tribes. The pictures are of the Lego creations, characters, vehicles, and sets with a background scene. At the end there is a small quiz, and a glossary with some of the harder vocabulary. My boys loved it.

Great book for my nearly 6 year old to read himself, he enjoys the content and wants to read it. Its longer pages than level 2 but still plenty of readable words with a few trickier subject specific words
