I bought hose only hoping I could just swap them out as the spray unit works fine and only the hose was leaking. Easy directions and swap over for a first timer.

This is an excellent upgrade to the 6' hose that came with my Waterpik Dual PowerPulse Massage shower head. It expands the reach to 8' so I can clean our shower walls and doors. It's flexible and installs easily and I've had no problems with leaks. The only thing I don't like is that the material, in spite of being described as "chrome," looks more like nickel and so it doesn't match the shower head perfectly.

The ends are bigger than 3/4" - more like 7/8" or bigger.Thus, they don't really quite fit in our existing shower holder head. Strike one.Ironic: The little piece of yellow tape on the hose very specific about putting the notched end on the shower head and the longer smooth end on the faucet. That didn't fit. If you look at the BACK of the package, it says to hook it up that way, then check the fit in your shower holder head, then - if it doesn't fit, switch it around. <insert extreme eye-roll here>The shorter notched end just BARELY fits in our existing shower holder, but I don't really trust it.And then... Strike Two ...Then there is the leak. Since I tried BOTH ends, I know that BOTH ends leak. The washers were present in the hose and the extras were in the package. To try to hack a non-leaky tighter solution, I did try two washers (to give the threads a chance to make more compression as the sleeve itself is pretty long on both ends) -- As expected, that didn't work. It was worth a shot since I had an abundance of washers and no teflon tape with me.I'm going to try white Teflon plumbers tape next - despite the instructions saying it shouldn't be necessary.The last hail mary after that might be to swap the black washers from my old hose as that hose didn't leak. (The ones included with the Waterpik seem pretty stiff, and as mentioned, they're kinda on the thin side for the amount of thread I'm working with.)The funny thing about Waterpik stuff is that I've always had problems with it.Generic no-name plumbing products on Amazon - usually totally fine. (e.g. I'm a HUGE fan of our flow limiters I bought. B07RLWY6QR Life changing! )Brand name fancy packaging Waterpik? Meh!

I was going to go with cheaper ones but this extra length is absolutely perfect! Doesn’t get caught up and great with the metal

PROS: Love the long length. Have replaced all of our shower hoses with this one as I find the ones that come with the shower heads are far too short.CONS: Sadly not as long lasting as I would have hoped. The one in our master bath, developed a leak after about 8 years of use and had to be replaced.Overall assessment: Highly recommend.

Item arrived a day earlier than promised. This longer shower hose is working perfectly for our situation. We use the shower wand in the tub to wash our dogs paws during the muddy seasons and the longer length is crucial. This wand also came with an extra set of washers as well as a set of thicker washers for different wands. Great instructions included in the packaging as well. Ends were marked for wand and shower head but had to reverse it for our situation so it would fit. Worked out well. Not sure of durability as only in use for 2 weeks so far but seems to be a quality hose.

This 8 foot hose was a replacement for my leaking and believed to be original 5 foot grey coloured plastic/PVC hose for my older Waterpik handheld shower head. This hose is much lighter and flexible compared to the old plastic one and the added length is so much better to reach all areas of your body and to rinse the tiles on the furthest wall with better control(can hold shower head near tile and angle spray inward) as to not spray any water outside the shower curtain.Unlike the previous hose, you do not use any Teflon tape on these connectors and tighten by hand as hard as you can. NOTE: the male threads on the mount attached to the shower arm and male threads on the handheld shower head were about 3/8” of thread. But this hose has about 3/4” of female threads at both ends. So I had to stack the two extra washers that come with this hose IN ADDITION to two more washers I had at home to prevent leaks and make up the 3/8” of difference. So 3 washers stacked per hose end.Hope it lasts as long as my previous PVC hose.I wish I upgraded to a longer hose decades ago!

Although this was easy to install by hand only (I did need to add the extra washers provided on each end)and works without leaks, I am worried about the proposition 65 warning. What carcinogen that causes reproductive harm is in it, I wonder? How much of it? Is it safe? No answers on the packaging.
