Hydroponic Water Chiller Cooling System with Remote Control and Freestanding Mounting type for Home and Kitchen, Black

Purchased the 1HP chiller for my Ice Barrel 300 and it's worked perfectly! In reality, I probably could've purchased the 3/4HP which would have sufficed, but don't regret getting the 1HP. I was worried about the noise because it's right outside our dining room window but it hasn't been an issue at all.I needed to buy a couple adapters for the tub so that the diameter of the connecting tubes matched the ports on the chiller but was ultimately very easy.I have the chiller and circulation pump (purchased separately) on a timer so they turn on before I wake up. I use it every single morning and my only regret was not buying the whole setup earlier.!

Zip ties, broken computer board, holes in the mesh filter, face completely ripped off, copper piper not connected to anything, everything covered in a greasy substance, wires sticking out, the main unit unhinged from bolt to bottom bracket, busted open casing, and completely not in working condition. This thing if I had to guess was broken before it was ever shipped to me based on the zip ties and completely disconnected internals. A bumpy ride doesn't add zip ties to insulation.

This is a real review, not paid. I bought the 1hp chiller along with a variable inline fan to help vent the unit as it's in my garage with the door open. I won't lie. If you spend this much money for a chiller, it better be worth it and in my case it has been.My suggestions. Buy an additional fan and keep air flow around the chiller as high as possible.Also - and you may not realize this when you buy it. It requires a powerful pump. You will buy said pump because the chiller requires it, just don't try and use the outflow to increase the overall flow of your hydro system! Even with thirty gallon containers connected via 3" pvc without any root obstructions in the lines, this pump will still overflow whatever container you put the outflow line in! 4" PVC *might* be large enough but I wouldn't risk it.Anyway, hands down this is the best chiller I've ever owned. Full stop.

It lasted ONE YEAR- then quit:/ I used it in the garage for my ICE PLUNGE barrel. It was good for exactly one year then suddenly stopped cooling. Extremely loud and always seem to run a bit hot. Way to expensive. Not worth it.PENGUIN has a good one with a built in pump and a hose conversion solution that I am impressed by.

Originally bought the 1/2 hp and it was either not working or not strong enough. I returned and got this one and man it works great so far.

This is the 3rd active aqua chiller I have bought in a month. 1st one worked about a week before it stopped working. 2nd one did not even work out of the Box. 3rd one worked for a week and then quit. I contacted active aqua directly for warranty. They stated they have 0 factory support and would have to send this unit back to Amazon again also. At $1700 a piece you think they would sell a product that would last longer than a week. 1 star.

Just got this unit setup to replace my old chiller and to my horror, it runs at about 65 decibels. Now I don't know what they intended as quiet, but that is not quiet. Granted, it seems efficient and really wouldn't run all the time but when it does, you are very aware of it. I'm really bummed because it has so many good reviews. Maybe I got a loud one?? It was really easy to setup and easy to program but holy cow...needless to say it's getting returned.

Well, it worked fine for about a month. Then JUST after the time expired to return it, it kept and still keeps shutting off and blowing fuses in my house. Over $1300 and Amazon customer service leaves me no option but to troubleshoot myself with no real support and I can’t return it because it started acting up about three days after the 30 day return window. I’m infuriated to say the least!!!!!
