The lighting kit incorporates a flexible, plastic coated electroluminescent wire that attaches to the perimeter of the 32" or 16" Flat Hat Collapsible Drone Pad, allowing for better visibility in low-light flying conditions. The wire length is sized to fit the perimeter of the 32" drone pad. To attach the lighting kit to the smaller circumference of the 16" drone pad simply shorten (cut) the wire with a sharp pair of scissors. The included 4-way light controller allows you to set the lighting effect to constant, pulse, strobe, or off. It is powered by 2 AA batteries (not included). The Flat Hat drone pad can be collapsed and stored in the carry bag with the lighting kit attached. "Flat hatting" was a term coined by World War II pilots to refer to unauthorized low-level flying and stunting. Flat Hat products aim to help drone pilots have more fun while flying.
